A group of us are heading out from SoCal early Sunday morning and spending a bit of time exploring the dirt roads of Monument Valley, Mexican Hat and Comb ridge areas on the way to Moab. Should arrive some time Tuesday.

.

watch out for the infamous Copper State Cruisers

Theres two guys from olde north state cruisers( mike and johnny) they drove from NC. They are in a blue 62. Someone please slap the snot out of em for me!

On my way as well.
Hope to get to Moab Saturday evening.
So wanting the Rockies passes to be clear. Last year I spent 6 hours trying to get thru.
If can do two 900 miles days. Leaving from Pittsburgh PA today Friday.

That's got to earn some type of iron butt award! I didn't get my advance adapter in time for the 62 (it's almost got the 5.3 done, :crybaby:) so I'll be taking the 40. 200 miles in a 40 is like driving from NY to UT :hillbilly:. Sea Knight tells me it builds character, but I was really looking forward to making some of those mountain passes above 30mph.

Just leaving. 2 hours to Lone Warrior!

This will indeed be interesting! Beno and BK causing trouble through middle Nevada!

:)

See you tomorrow BK.

I'm signed up for dome plateau Friday but recently blew out my left knee. I can drive on it okay but not aggressively. How much clutching is required on dome plateau in a stock 40 with 33s, drum brakes, and open diffs? How long is the trail ride?

Heading down Thursday about noon from salt lake.

Anybody need any parts? In my horde, I've got front and rear axles (fj40 and FJ60), birfields, small and wide pattern knuckles, 4 speed t-case housing.

Looks like I might be making it after all. :D

I was gonna crash with Onur, but didn't want to have a "gay" old time in the same room. :hillbilly:

Hope to see/meet some of you in Moab!

Hells Revenge on Tuesday...

Beautiful set of "FJ45s" on Hell's Gate. I recognize Gary's Project X and Mike's newly redone rig, but whose is the third one?

Took a small group to the Top of the World yesterday...nice and relaxing...and, it was Vendor night too!

How did the T-4 do on Pritchett?

Good, but not great...the new suspension will help with clearance a bit...it was a little low...but I didn't touch the shock heights at all either.

We pulled line on winch hill twice and drove the rest (well, until we opted to skip Rock Pile and Yellow Hill due to the backup and the fact we were turning back regardless)
