I am very excited about attending this year (first Moab trip). Looking forward to meeting a few new faces and seeing some old ones from other events. I hope this isn't a dumb question, but does anyone bring their dog with? Or would you recomend to leave at home?

if you're staying in Slickrock campground and your dog barks and wakes everyone up... you'll wish you left him home. ;)

Hey guys... thought to check the site for updates on CM08... I'm coming from Georgia I'll be trailering my fj40 to moab. What's the weather like thru Arkansas/Texas area? is there any flooding/bad roads I should be awared of? taking interstate 40 from Memphis to Albuquerque...
This is my third time to CM and my family loves it. hopefuly we'll get to see all you guys again. I am bringing my 40 with the cool ARB bumper I won two years ago...
This time I won't be bringing my dog. He is in the dog house.

If you are signed up for Elephant Hill, you won't be allowed to take your dog. There is a kennel in Moab for daycare though.

Some people bring their dog. If yours is well behaved, stays with you and is quiet at night, shouldn't be a problem

starting to get excited :bounce:

What?

A kennel at Moab. GMAFB.

If it's that bad people shouldn't be allowed to have a dog. :steer:

I take my Jack Russel, only place they are not allowed is the National Parks

FYI, I saw dogs at Arches two weeks ago. Here is what the official .gov site says about them,

"

Activities with pets are very limited at Arches. Pets are not allowed on any hiking trails. Pets may accompany visitors in the campground, and at overlooks and pullouts along the paved scenic drives. Pets may be walked on roads or in parking lots, but must be leashed at all times when outside a vehicle. Pets may not be left unattended (except in a paid-for campsite in the Devils Garden campground, where they must not cause a disturbance)."

My buddy, mountjoy_99 and two other buddy will be brining their doggies.

Thanks guys for the info.

I will be on Wipe-Out Hill, Metal Masher and Hells Revenge as well as Slickrock campground. Is Elephant Hill the only trail that does not allow dags?

And she actually doesn't really bark, mostly sleeps.

My dog is coming. But he is happy to stay in the vehicle the entire day and never ever barks. The most silent dog in the world. He's just happy to be in the wagon coming for the ride. 8 hrs, 12 hrs no biggie he will just sit there.

Slickrock has a dog run on the map they show.

Going for the iron seat award again? Semlin is doing the same track as you did last year

Im doing the drive through Az as quick as possible run this year..........................

I just found out that I'm attending as a copilot!
As it turns out, I'll be in California on the 27th anyway, for my grandmother's 95th birthday. And a buddy is driving out for Moab. So.... Looks like I'm being totally irresponsible, extending my trip by a week, and going to CM08! :bounce2:

See ya there!:flipoff2:

Thats cool. He is speeding.. :)

One of the only spots that the cruise control came off to pass a transport.:) Most of the day was spent doing 55 to 58 MPH

No, this year we are taking it easy trying to limit driving times to about 6 hours a day. Saving our selfs for when we meet with the CSC and Cruise Moab.

they are both joining the AZ CSC Moab-Pre-Run :bounce: :bounce2: :flipoff2:
