Someone let me know that my FJ45 was on this forum so I registered to answer questions and clear up confusion about the truck. I bought it in 2005 from a friend in Carmel right after he finished it. He lives here now but stored the truck at his home in France before he brought it to Carmel. I have detailed photos of his restoration/build over the process. A forum member was gracious enough to educate me on where to match up all the VIN numbers and yes they all match. Today I spent considerable time taking photos and answering questions about the truck. My friend spent 160k building this awesome machine. I am in discussions with about five different FJ fans that are interested in purchasing the truck. As the discussions became serious I realized how sad I would be to see this truck leave our home. As we all know, we are just caretakers of history. These trucks are nearing extinction and need to be cared for and shared for the next generation. I do not know how or why my truck was posted here but thank you! It has been a pleasure to meet and learn from some very nice individuals.
I took the truck for a drive this evening in the rain. Somethings are truly irreplaceable and this truck fits that description.
Gears to you and happy holidays!
