Nice trucks @Orange Hat! I’ve got a 1985 Ford F-250 that I recently converted to a diesel. There’s a thread on it in this sub.

What about the Torino ?

What about the Torino ?

Good eye. 70 Torino GT, with a 429 N code engine and c6 auto on the column. Front bench seat. Very cool.
When was in the fire dept. I was looking for a muscle car project. The other shift went to do a smoke detector install and found it in an elderly ladies basement garage. Husband had died and she had no use for it. They showed me pics of it on there cell phones but none were interested so I went back to the house and ended up buying it. Here it is the day I drove it home.

Bought it new in 1976 (that's right; it sat on the dealer lot for 9 years) and parked it when I went into the military. 30 years later, I dig it out of my dad's barn, replace everything that moves, and it's now my daily driver when the sun is shining. 38,xxx actual miles. Hope to pile on a shedload more of those miles and good times with my pup.

I should have kept the Torino but didn't have the room for it in my garage after I parked the Galaxie. So it sat in the driveway for a year and I just wanted to find a better home for it so it wouldn't rust away. I did a lot of work to it, including sanding and repainting the undersides, stainless exhaust, sound deadener, new carpet, reuphostered the front seat, re did the dash pad and lower dash.

Great looking ‘67! I’ve got a ‘66 that we drove off in for our wedding but it’s been sitting in storage for 10 yrs now. “One of these days” I’ll get it out and bring it back to its former glory.
