Question,

Who has first hand experience with them in a 40? Anyone CURRENTLY have them installed?

I'm looking for measurements 40 related, specifically the ass height. How does it compare to OEM buckets in the 74 era?

Specs for the seat call out a 4.5" base height, which is very close to OEM seat height in my 74.

Important to note, the pic shown is not actual product.

Regardless, it looks like the base and sliders have a slim profile, hopefully keeping the height down to something comparable to the OEM seats.

These have caught my attention because I can add heaters to them when ordering unlike the Procar seats. If Procar had the option to add heaters I'd probably already be farting in black leather Rally XLs.

Heated seats? Wow, you ARE gettin' old...

I installed Cobreaus in my wife's 80. The brackets fit and kept the seat height very close to stock. The bracket took a little drilling for the mounting bolts to line up exactly, but not a big deal at all. Far, far superior to the oem seats

Florida man.

Does he even have a hardtop for his Cruiser?
I’ll have you know I do actually have a minty fresh hardtop! Problem is I have 3 variations of soft options preventing it from being put on.🤣

I have the Procar 90s. Like them a lot, and the look is perfect for 40s. Because of their simple design, I believe installing heaters would be a cakewalk.

I don't know if Corbeau still offers this, or if it's available for the model you're considering, but they used to have a shaved base option that shaved 1" off the base height.

I'll also add, in my opinion seats are an individualized thing. Depending on body type and preference, what is comfortable to one is not to another. For example, Procar seats get strong reviews from some and they look a lot like the OEM Toyota seats. Based on that several years ago I was all set to order a pair, but SEMA was coming up and I had the opportunity to go....

Procar had a booth at SEMA and I sat in the seats. I found them underwhelming. If you can, I would encourage you to sit in any seat you are considering before buying.

That might be worth me emailing them and getting more info. Every inch of clearance I could get would be a benefit.

Wait till he looks to add heated steering wheel.....then you can start calling folks old.......I do love my heated steering wheel in my cummins
I want heated wiper blades!

I have those in my 69', I like the look but when I saw the Procars in person I liked them even better. Not sure about the height change, had bench seats before and I built custom bases to get the new seats as low as possible. Knees still hitting the steering wheel so going to look for a smaller steering wheel.
