Funny. My first thought on seeing the pic was that I didn't know who everyone was. I need to get out more. ;)

Product Update:

Now carrying OEM Denso 2H and 12H-T engine oil filters.

These are the "large" filters, made in Japan by Denso. :)

These are no longer available in the US market as TMS, USA deemed them "non-import" status.

I have ten in stock with more on the way.

I am also carrying OEM front brake pad sets for 4x/5x/6x/7x vehicles. These were available in the US market as 04465-YZZC0 that were made here in the US by ADVICS. TMS, USA discontinued that line and they are no longer available in the US market.

I was able to procure the Japanese iterations of these pads which are made in Japan by Sumitumo. They are not cheap but they are OEM. :)

Finally, I was able to get a couple of Denso fuel filters for later Land Cruiser diesel applications (mainly after 1/1998 manufacture depending on market): HDJ105/HDJ100/HDJ101/KZJ90/KDJ90/ and certain 1HZ engines depending on market. These are also not available in the US as TMS, USA has deemed them "non-import" status:

Those filters will make my life easier on so many levels. :)

Folks:

Down to about 30 emails that I still have to respond to in a substantive manner.

Each email does take time as I have to look up parts, get pricing and availability and then ask other questions about what you are working on, what you are doing, recommendations for other things to do, etc.

I appreciate your patience!

I hope mine is one of them!

My office manager spent the entire day reconciling invoices and doing general office duties (making good Turkish food for her boss, doing the dishes, and making sure the boss has clean Land Cruiser t-shirts to wear).

I'm lucky to have such a supportive and caring mom. She spent the whole day with me and she was amazed at how I controlled the "chaos" of my daily routine.

;)

Thanks mom, this Bud's for you!

That's awesome. Glad it takes a full day for mom to reconcile the invoices!

Just a shout out to Beno and Land Cruiser Parts and Consulting-I ordered a bunch of used parts from Beno, asked him what parts I should get-about 2 boxes worth. He mud shipped to me about 4 boxes worth and a crate of axle shafts via bkcruiser from Southern Cruiser Crawl. Now I just need to see what's in the boxes, but I sense a big work day coming up. I even got a bonus driveshaft, that I plan to pass along to @TrickyT.

Wish you were closer to the West Coast, but then you'd miss out on the Turkish food, and have to wear dirty shirts.

Folks:

I am out of the office tomorrow and Saturday traveling to visit with a client in the NE on his 1982 FJ40 preservation project that I am working on.

I will be back Sunday afternoon and will be catching up.

Thanks much.

I'm always amazed at the quality of some of Toyota's Japan suppliers.

Yazaki is a nice old corporation that has been around for ages in Japan:

History | YAZAKI Corporation

They have historically been associated with the manufacture of wire sets and meter/gauge assemblies as well as most all of the wire harnesses in our Land Cruisers.

The symbolic "triangle" logo can be found on a number of part components systems in our trucks.

I was with a client this weekend doing some really fun work and had some great conversations with both an old friend and a solid two decades old Cruiserhead.

When I pulled the spark plug wires from his 2F, I was blown away to see the date stamp on the wires:

1983

That means this wire set has been on this 2F since it left the Arakawara Auto Body Yoshiwata factory, out to the holding pen before it was trucked cross-town for export from the Tahara peninsula port.

32 years this wire set did its duty for this great specimen.

Yazaki continues to manufacture wire sets, meters and gauges for Toyota Motor Corporation to this day.

Two of my favorite iterations:

90919-21325: 2F engine wire set from 1980-1987.

90919-21557: 1FZ-FE wire set from 8/1992-1/1998.

Great artifacts of quality manufacturing and design.

The spark plugs had been changed. At least the PO took care of that!!

Nice survivor of the era with a brand new old school Con-Ferr and ARB bumper.

Owner had a brand NIB 8274 that he purchased in the mid-1990's. Looks great and preserves a solid element of authenticity to the time period.

He is going to keep the Warn hubs. While not a fan of the idea, it does provide a preservatory aspect to this truck.

Oh yeah, factory PS and factory AC-- old school Nippon-Denso.
