Onur:

It wasn't that long ago that you picked up your 70 looking beautifully pedestrian. Now it just looks incredibly awesome.

The new top, the lift, the tires and the bumper really makes it look like my kind of cruiser.

I'll have to get a 70 one of these days to try and duplicate it. ;)

Dan

A well-stocked billfold and determination can do an awful lot. I have some first-hand experience and, afterall, he did work for me for a while....

You know what I am going to say Dan:

DO IT!!!!

You and Barry love old metal. A 7x would be perfect in your stable.

The well-stocked billfold= not so much.

Eating ramen and drinking @cruiserdan beer= more money for parts.

:)

See I did learn something sir!!

Folks:

I am in the office today working.

I will be out of the office starting tomorrow to head to the 70 series meet in Cullman, Alabama. I'll be back in the office on Monday.

:)

If any folks want to come and stop by, please do as it is open to all comers!!

Information regarding the meet can be found here: Southeast 70 Series Meet and Greet, September 25-27, 2015, Cullman, AL

Your 80 really is one of those great testaments that show just how far a (essentially) stock station wagon can go and how much abuse it can take.

Toyota should use it in their advertising!

On a side note... It's time to get cracking on that 60! I intend to see it running in person one day.

Don't take this the wrong way but why are clients paying you to drive their trucks?

Sorry late to this thread. Just reading through it all. I would trust Onur with any one of my trucks and ALMOST with my wife :flipoff2:

If you want to read about what Onur can do you for you, read this:

So this is what it looks like to do a frame off restoration and get all of your parts OEM Toyota:

This is one of many orders this client has placed with me during this current restorative project he has going. Can't wait to see the final results.

I do love OEM hardware. It makes me tingle in the right places.

Onur, wanted to touch base to see if a request sent to Gmail account on the 23rd made it to you.
Been having issues with my stupid smart phone.
I was away from computer at the time and didn't see you were getting ready to head off to 70 fun land. ;)

Thanks to one of my client requests, I was able to ascertain that 2H long block rebuild components are readily available in the US market through normal Toyota supply lines.

Only parts that will need to come out of Japan or Australia will be the Pistons.

:) hopefully this will help folks make informed decisions when chasing down parts for non-US engine iterations. :)

This engine gasket will be similar to the 12H-T iteration but obviously missing turbo-specific parts as well as a few other things. I am working on getting those 12H-T iteration parts in stock here in the US so a client can get the engine gasket kit + the other gaskets and have a complete engine gasket set up.

Also, I will be stocking the now NLA oil filters for 2H/12H-T engines: 15601-68010.

That's all the news that's fit to print from the front lines of the Toyota Land Cruiser parts world.

I'm not young either, but I can help you train your hot young intern. Just say'n :D
