Hey guys! My name is zac, I am a professional upholster, and I love any form of land cruiser but I personally own a 60.
I have access to oem materials an I am capable of reproducing exact oem replacement sest covers and door covers, I can alo make abs plastic complete door and cargo cards. If you had the option would you keep your interior completely stock?? How many people would be interested in ordering DIY seat cover kits with complete instructions and pictures to help install. Or maybe complete interior sets new door cards, cargo cards, headliner, carpet and seat cover replacement. I'm starting my own company and want to build a strong foundation with landcruisers

Interested in a seat cover kit

Reupholster yours and then people can see the quality. Asking for input doesn’t do anything because no one has their wallet open.

Mine will be getting done soon, unfortunately, hard to find time to do my own stuff at the moment.
Zac, my advise is to do your own truck. Post up pics. After doing your own you will get a feel as to how much effort it was and what it would cost you in labor and materials and have an idea pricing. If you're really good and can deliver on a set of REALLY OEM looking seat covers and door cards then you will have a niche market. One thing to consider is buying your own hardboard, using hollow punches to cut the holes and adding toyota snap clips to make it a complete kit. Then you will not have to wait for someone's old door card to come to you only to be disappointed by the fact that the door card is already crumbling. The only thing to consider is the speaker cover. That is something I don't think you can replicate easily. Will you leave it w/out and have the purchaser try to remove his and put on the new? That is something that may intimidate some less than handy buyers. Or will you try to find a substitute speaker cover that you install on the door card?

I have already done a few Toyotas just not of oem style, I have priced door cards taken time to figure out exactly how long it will take me and the cost on all materials, the door cards would not be sent to me they would be either skins you or order and have a professional install or you can order the abs door cards with oem cut holes and new clips you transfer your door pocket and add speaker cover or poke holes in new material. I can get covers but they increase cost quite a bit.. I simply want to know who is in the market and maybe what people think a good price on something like that is..

Not the oem set but this is a complete set I did, new abs door cards with metal top, speaker holes cut out all new clips, complete new custom seat covers all done in oe blue vinyl and orange houndstooth. Also did the carpet and headliner in this one

Spector off road and vinyl seats 530.00 Page 308 Land Cruiser 60 & 62 Series Upholstery Kits and Seat Cushions

Cruiser corps front and rear 579.00 Grey Seat Covers / Front & Rear Kit - FJ60, FJ62 1980-1990

this would be your competition. I think if you have a quality OEM looking seat cover you could ask slightly more.

Door panels? Used Door panels go for 25.00 to 100 per so Maybe 100 to 200 per?

Complete new door cards will be more than 200, quite a bit of time into making these the materials alone are just over 200 for 1 door card.

Those are not oem spec kits I can make economy kits for around the same price. But those are offerd I am trying to tap into a different maket

HMMM, you joined MUD yesterday and today you will be the producer of OEM quality seats and door cards? Not to deter you from your dreams. I really wish someone would make a quality OEM seat cover and door cards but I've been on the forum over 10 years and had my 60 for over 13 years and have seen very little in the way of factory spec seat covers and nothing factory looking about any door card repop. Best thing I can tell you is produce one set installed with images and you will get interest. The more you can make it look like something that came out of a Toyota dealership showroom the better.
