Cold weather Cullowhee trip anyone?

Don't mess up everything on my account. If the original weekend works better for everyone else, I'll figure out how to get there regardless.

Cullowhee International Airport, there's a good one!! :D

Jackson County Airport has one runway and no control tower. Try direct leaving from CLT. I'll drop you off if you need a ride.

Uh oh, hopefully I get to Richard and my 12'er of Guinness before the public flogging ensues...

Thats Valentines Weekend. Dont know if it will matter for some of you guys or not, just wanted to remind you.

hmm, that might matter now that you mention it.

I guess Tellico will be a good time to discuss this.

Yeah, but Valentine's Day is on Wednesday, not the weekend. Think about it - having a nice evening during the week will be LOTS less expensive than a weekend full of hoopla.

If that doesn't work and you have to show your cards, since it's on a Wednesday, either weekend could techinically "be" Valentine's Weekend, right?? :grinpimp:

hmm, good point

This is true.

But for us it wont be expensive either way :)

Your wish is my command. It will be the 16th through the 18th. My wife is going to kill me since I'm going to Snowshoe the weekend before.

That's the only weekend I can't make it... wedding in Greenville.

I think that Valentines Day problem is huge for that weekend:eek: :)

Gonna be sad if I have to miss two in a row :frown:

We need JP if we call the trip "Busted on the Balds '07"

Sorry guys, i haven't been able to pull anything together. I have too much on my plate right now.

You all have fun.

Well, I figured out how to get my GPS files on to Google Earth. Here's the route we took in October at Cullowhee (minus a few missing GPS points):

That's awesome. I've been meaning to play with Google Earth a bit. Is it subscription based?

No, this stuff is all free. Just download Google earth and install and you are ready to go with it.

I used a free conversion program that does the conversion and maps it in GE all in one fell swoop. Very easy to do. If I can find the link to the software I'll post it up here.

Here's the link to the GPD conversion freeware: http://www.download3k.com/Home-Education/Geography/Download-MB-GPS2KML.html
