That’s guessing that’s Bryan’s 1HDT. I believe Pat just loaded the wrong pic.
Haha, sorry. I took all day to write the first post on my pc at work, because I'd write for a minute, then have real work to do, then come back. The pics are on my phone so I made the written post then quick loaded pictures as I was shutting down the shop. So long story short, ya, wrong diesel.

Enter- correct diesel .

Liking all that you have going on in this thread Pat! Nice to see you at SAS and I hope to see the fruition of this work there again sometime!

Thanks!

Plans for SAS- I shall return!

Thanks man, it is nice to find others who think a long driving road trip with little sleep, smelly dogs (and people), and quick food stops (with overnight brewery stops planned as well) is a great vacation.

It’s epic. We are really looking forward to be with you and your two co-pilots on the trip in spirit. I might place you on speed dial in case you cannot get thumbnastics in with hands on the wheel.

Does Buddy know how to text?

I got to see Louise tonight, made for a good 60 series fix. My pal @Ocho77 came up and we took his 60 and the set of factory chrome wheels I had to the tire store and swapped out the 40 wheels that were on the truck. I am glad to have my original '78 wheels back that came on my 40. I drove my 55 and had a leaky tire fixed and my spare mounted. That might have been the biggest vintage cruiser parade my town has ever seen!

It was great because I couldn't stop staring at his 60 in the rear view mirror and Jonathan was loving following the 55.

Brew pub right nearby for dinner and a pint while they got our Cruisers done.

He can catch a frisbee, climb a ladder, open a cooler, and break out of a tent! Probably can learn to text too.

Cool pics. Nice road for Cruiser poser shots.

A tire shop torquing wheels by hand. Not something you see every day.

Tomorrow is hopefully a day of prepping truck and trailer for the run, as well as getting some more customer roof rack progress made, and oh yeah, work at my day job.

Friday is my busiest day at work usually, but at least I'm about out of time to get ready.

I know I change my mind like the weather, but I have a "wish vehicle" look to keep me motivated. Something like this.

All good to go?

All good to go?

Uhhhh, well, typical for me, not really ready. I have been working on the hauler. It doesn't say "Toyota" on it and I think it gets treated poorly because of it, but it really has been a great truck. She has 276,000 on it which is not bad for a 7.3 diesel. I just have to finish going through the details. The headlights sucked bad (cheap ebay) and I switched those out (cheap amazon:)) so we'll see how that goes. Fluids done, have to rotate tires tomorrow, and CLEAN it! Then on to the trailer, then load up the parts 40, then make a cradle for the 12ht, then pack tools, then pack my gear, then pack straps, then pack the doggie essentials (food, leash, frisbee), and I am good to go! Going to head out at 4 a.m. Sunday or sooner.

Picture of Blackie. She really needs a Fender sticker to complete the Clapton reference. My favorite guitar brand anyway.

OK, getting off on a tangent here (I do that a bit), but this is just way too cool. Too bad Toyota didn't do this commercial, but Honda is pretty rad for doing it. A good look at Clapton and Blackie too. Love the smoke in the headstock. My '71 Fender Jazz Bass has a burn mark on the headstock form having a cigarette stuck there many times (by the original owner, not me;))

Ahhh. Blackie the 7.3. @CenTXFJ60 car hauler affectionately called “Fetcher” has a great bumper sticker that would fit just right on Blackie. Hopefully he will chime in here with a pic.

Running late on getting ready, but not too bad. Just drove the parts 40 on the trailer. Strap down, pack up, sleep for a few hours
