Unfortunately I’ll be on the road this year. Was really trying to make it but my buddy Sargy is getting married the same weekend…

I’ll make it another year. I did donate a box of goodies to the raffle though! I’ll be there in spirit!

That's too bad man. Well, there's always next year.

Thank you for donating to our cause!

We've nudged past 140 Drivers and over 95 Passengers & kids so far and are expecting more registrations on site! This will be the largest Carolina Relic Run so far! Thanks to all who registered early. Looking forward to seeing everybody next weekend!

The Cruisers On The Rocks event at Windrock provides Patch Agan's @cruiserpatch simple little GMRS Channel / Frequency chart as part of their driver registration packet. It would be nice if we did something similar. For now, here's a copy of Patch's chart for folks to use. Take a pic of this pic and either print it or save it to your phone. It comes in handy when trying to get Baofengs , Midland and Motorolas talking to each other on the same GMRS channel.

Oh wow! THAT is Handy to have!

Campground layout. Also now included in post #1.

BTW, weather permitting, Saturday dinner and raffle will be held at the bottom corner of the bath house as it appears on this map. There are a fire pit and picnic tables there but bring your own chair anyway.

For anybody who doesn't already know - This is the route to/from Eldorado Outpost. Riverbend Campground is off of Mullinix Rd, which is slightly offset from Old Thayer Mill Rd. We'll have some signs out; they're blue with green or white arrows.

Quick note that these frequencies all matched the pre-set GMRS memory channels in my Baofeng UV-5G out of the box.

There wasn't a T-Shirt order option on my day-pass for Friday - are they going to be available on the merch site later?

With regards to vehicle inspection, what constitutes a "dangerously cracked windshield"? Mine has a pretty substantial crack at the moment.
Our default always is "will it pass a state inspection" but we realize that states have different criteria so we reserve the right to make judgement calls as needed.

And, FYI to everyone - a failed inspection means that the failed vehicle can't participate in an official organized ride. It does not mean that the trails are off limits or that you can't attend. I'll be happy to answer any questions here or onsite after I arrive Wednesday afternoon.

I have notably been absent. With a very demanding 9 to 5++ job I’ve had to take a backseat in this year’s event planning. I have to say the collaborative effort of all of you has been outstanding!

I hope to see you all this weekend at some point. I may have done almost nothing to help plan this event, but you should see me helping all weekend long. No relic this year unfortunately, my two are both inop. I’ll be driving the tundra that I got exactly a week after last year’s Relic Run.

See you all soon!

Finally on the way after a horrid morning of pretty much 6-12 months worth of household problems. Water heater, dryer, animals (who knew they could get anal fissures?), etc. The capper was slicing my finger open while cracking ice cubes from their molds. Damn my love of giant cubes!

Hoping to beat the CLCC crew but it'll be close.
