I'm in. Bringing my daughter. Ironically I'm coming up there tomorrow to stay with my brother for the weekend. So two weeks in a row. Don't know if a relic will be ready but will be in something.

Yep.Having difficulty registering on the site. The captcha box keeps spinning. Can I pay 85$ there ?
I’ll post a list of frequencies that can be typed into a baofeng to work with GMRS when I get to a computer tonight. There’s also a CHIRP file somewhere in the 2022 or 2023 CRR threads, and a while separate thread about how we arrived at GMRS that has the same info. CHIRP is used to program radios if you have the proper programming cable. Can't make the whole weekend, but registered and will be there with Bluey on Friday. Picking up a couple of mudship things and wanting to check out the Grand Overland trails!
I got a pair of Baofeng GMRS and license, but haven't set them up yet. Can anyone point me on how to program to use with the group, or if easy enough could someone do it for me on-site Friday?
Thanks - codes preferred, I don't have any cables although I need to research setup in general.I’ll post a list of frequencies that can be typed into a baofeng to work with GMRS when I get to a computer tonight. Would this be the same CHIRP file that's on the Standardized Comms thread? The one that @SeanLX uploaded?I’ll post a list of frequencies that can be typed into a baofeng to work with GMRS when I get to a computer tonight. Most likely. I couldn't remember the name of that thread and haven't landed at my laptop yet.Would this be the same CHIRP file that's on the Standardized Comms thread? The one that @SeanLX uploaded?

I haven't checked out your file but I modified the squelch on my chirp file so that 0 to 9 make actual changes to the squelch function. If you got the GMRS version you should be good like they are. This confusion is part of why I don't recommend Baofeng as my first choice unless you're into radios. Those will work great but for most people any pack of Midland or other GMRS radios works great too and have fewer buttons to worry about.
The file with CLCC frequencies just has some settings (like privacy codes) preset for Baofeng/Motorola/etc. A plain GMRS radio with channels (and a code if you like) is perfect for group rides.
I'll be at Relic Run probably starting Thursday night and I'm happy to help test and talk radio with anyone.
There are no squelch settings in that file (that I know of, maybe in the settings tab). Squelch is a whole different topic and I must have the older firmware on all of my Baofengs because I've used it when I wanted to pick up a repeater on the edge of reception and it worked as I expected. 0 opened it up to hear the faint signal in the static and 1 or more shut it off if there was mostly static.I haven't checked out your file but I modified the squelch on my chirp file so that 0 to 9 make actual changes to the squelch function.
These are also available for sale in sticker format on CruiserPatch.comThe Cruisers On The Rocks event at Windrock provides Patch Agan's @cruiserpatch simple little GMRS Channel / Frequency chart as part of their driver registration packet. It would be nice if we did something similar. For now, here's a copy of Patch's chart for folks to use. Take a pic of this pic and either print it or save it to your phone. It comes in handy when trying to get Baofengs , Midland and Motorolas talking to each other on the same GMRS channel.
Patch, I was not aware you were selling these. I can take this down if you prefer, or best case, it will be a bit of free advertising for your ingenious idea in sticker form. These are also available for sale in sticker format on CruiserPatch.com
All proceeds go to support Cruisers on the Rocks and Cruisers on the Rockies events.
Thanks @ga12r1 for all your work with these events!

Hey! No need to remove it. As you said, free advertising for our events and my website.Patch, I was not aware you were selling these. I can take this down if you prefer, or best case, it will be a bit of free advertising for your ingenious idea in sticker form.
BTW, last year's COTR was a fantastic event. I'm sure they all were, but last year was my first. You and Lee @ga12r1 really do a great job putting it on. We enjoyed wheeling with you as well.
