This is a solid crew. Thank you everyone for chipping in and contributing. We're going to have a great trip guys!

@AJR and @SeanLX I am thinking I can ride over to your houses Thursday night and relieve you of your properties. haha. I can swing by and pick up anything you want me to haul for you. like the wood or gas cans. let me know so I can plan around it.
We are all on the same ferry so we can all ride out together. maybe pick a spot for all of us to meet up. Sean you can just link up at my house at around 10ish on Friday so we can ride out together. Our Ferry is at 1400 and google maps says it is a 3 hour drive from my house but going by Ryan's advise I want to get there a little early.

Just let me know what you guys think. I am flexible.

Or we can all link up at my house at 0900ish on Friday and you guys can just dump all your excess stuff on my truck so I can haul it. Then we roll out from there. Either way, Johnny is coming over that morning and Sean you more likely have to pass near my house on the way out. It would be a little deviation of your route for @AJR but not too bad.
Just some options for you guys.

This is reminding me of the first Portsmouth Island trip. Good people making it happen in a new situation. Sorry I can’t be there to screw things up.

For the record, @SeanLX holds the title of “Most recent person to catch a regulation fish on an ONSC group beach trip”. No pressure.

@forrest5000 is staying at my house Thursday night. He said he was gonna caravan with Ryan.

Should we start to make lists of what's being brought? Who is bringing what ingredients and whatnot.

Also, not sure if del talked to you @raanderson77 BUT I'm awesome.

I have 4 Jerry cans and a 7 gallon gas can , let me know how may to bring , 1 for diesel for me.

The Generator I am bringing is a GENERAC 5500 which is rated at 5500 running watts and 6875 starting watts.

I don't see an issue with the unit as far as trying to use it but that's what I can bring. So we can either try to make it work or I simply don't bring it. but again I think it will be fine for our needs.

I know little to none info about how it will work out there but I have a feeling we can make it work

Do you have a window unit to test it on? If it will work for that, then it will be good for what we need.

I think that will be perfect. I know the portable 12k BTU AC I'll bring will run off a 2000W generator with no problem. That thing should run 2 AC's plus lights, fans, etc.
Glad it's not a 10kw that would drink more fuel.

Only thing I can think of is to check what outlet cords it will need. 5kw input on the buildings is probably going to be a 30a inlet plug. It's right on the cusp of 110v vs 220v, so not sure what to bring

As far as group meals are concerned, is someone/a few people taking the reigns & getting everything needed, with everyone else chipping in $10-15 ea? Or, is someone providing a list of things needed and we collectively contribute?

My long time friend @scj (new to ONSC) and a mutual friend will both have a kid (4 total) and they confirmed they would like to take part in any group meals.

I think @AJR has the reigns for the boil, and @SFROMAN has the reigns for the fajitas. I'm making a somewhat spicy meaty burrito for lunches Saturday. Pre-prepped so they just have to be warmed. I think Adam was planning on one of us stopping at a seafood joint at the coast to get most of what's needed for the boil.

UPDATE: There has been some shuffling of people/accommodations. The amount owed will go up. @AJR initially was going to take over cabin 12, but has decided to open it back up. That means we will be able to spread out, but the price per person has increased to $56.37. We are thinking a quiet cabin for those that go to bed early and the other cabin can be the main hub for people that might stay up a little later. I did not include @weekenderlander since I have not received any confirmation. If he and his wife join, it will drop down to $47.70/per person.

As of right now, the total confirmed headcount is 23. 14 adults and 9 kids. I spoke w/ @Yotahead52 and he said the wives had already bought a bunch of food, so they are reluctantly out of the group meals. @SFROMAN @AJR that leaves total count for group meals at 12 adults and 5 kids. (not counting @weekenderlander since I still haven't received confirmation)

Ok. With the head counts updated I will be taking charge of the Saturday dinner. I’m just going to use the head count that Ryan posted above.
my plan is to buy enough fajita meat to feed 12 adults and 5 kids.
along with fajita I will be making my own salsa verde- don’t worry it won’t be too spicy.
I will bring corn tortillas so everybody can make some tacos ( think street tacos)
For garnish and taste on your tacos I will have Mexican cheese and cilantro. Sorry I don’t do unions but any of you are welcome to cut up your own for yourself.
For the kids- if they don’t want the meat in Taco form you can just puts some in a bowel. I did that for my kids for years and they love it

along with tacos I am going to make some borracho beans. Which are pinto beans with bacon cooked in beer with cut up jalapeño for flavor.
You can actually put the meat into the beans and eat it that way as well. This is called frijoles espesiales where I’m from.

now. If anybody wants to add anything to that please do. With all the other crap plus all the food for this meal I think I am going to be pretty maxed out on space. Plus I need room for beer. Haha

I am posting this now becasue I am going to have the old lady go to Costco tomorrow to buy the food. If you rather eat your own food rhat is cool also. I would recommend you at least try it though. Because it is pretty dam good.
