I'm so pumped!

One more update for today.
it’s not looking good for the window AC. My favorite tenant is out of town and the unit is installed at one of my rentals. Of course I told her a week ago rhat I needed to come by and get it but she never responded. I’m pretty sure she is just trying to avoid me since she owes me three months rent.
So the ac unit is out but I will still bring the generator and a fan.
sorry guys.

3 days without an AC unit might be all the motivation she needs to pay that rent

NOTEWORTHY:
  • Group meals provided Fri & Sat: Low Country boil Friday night & Fajitas Saturday night
  • There are no restaurants/vendors on the island. You will need to be sure that you have enough food/drink to last the entire weekend.
  • Bring your own linens or sleeping bags
  • The cabins include a private screened porch, a hot water heater, a private bathroom with shower, a table and chairs, a kitchen with propane oven/stove (propane included), bunk beds with mattresses, and a charcoal grill. The cabins do NOT include air conditioning, linens, bedding, cookware, or a refrigerator, and while they are wired for electricity, visitors must provide their own generator.
  • Island details: Cape Lookout National Seashore - OuterBanks.com

Spoke w/ @weekenderlander and he is officially out. He blew up the front diff on his 100 and it's at Marshall's shop. I have updated/edited the original page 1 post so everyone can see final costs, ferry spots, and cabin headcounts. If you are not going to make it for any reason, please let me know ASAP so I can cancel your ferry spot.

I can bring my Camp Chef stove, and the cooker if we all want to the Boil. I'll bring one propane tank, that should be enough for both the stove and cooker. I'm also bringing 1 window air conditioner, and I should be able to bring a generator if needed. If we're covered on generators capable of running a window air unit, then I wont bother messing with mine as it hasn't run in a couple years and its likely I'll have to mess with it to get it running.

Hey just read the first page. The cabins provide propane stoves and propane and a grill (now I don't have to bring my grill, just the charcoal) . You can still bring a separate propane tank with the cooker for the boil though. And as usual I can haul it for you.

Not a great weather outlook, but it won't dampen my ability to have fun.

Yeah I have been looking at that for 2 weeks. Its going to take a little more than rain to ruin my weekend though.

Every time I plan a beach camping trip the forecast is bad, but the weather turns out great. That's even been the case with our mountain trips. I've gotten to the point I don't even check the weather.

As far as meals go, I’ve got the boil covered for Friday night. I’ll put an ingredient list together this week, and we’ll coordinate someone picking up the seafood. I’m thinking probably just shrimp, but we could add more if anyone wants.
Here's the list for the boil: I've got it all pretty much covered, unless someone has a line on some sweet corn, Otherwise I'll grab some from the store.
6lbs Potatoes ( I have these from our garden)
4lbs smoked sausage
16 ears corn
8lbs Shrimp
8lbs crab legs
onions
Okra ( also have this from garden)
Old Bay seasoning

Once I get it all together I'll post a total per person.

Where are we at with generators?
I forgot how huge my 9000 watt is. I started to drag it out tonight and figured I’d check to see if there was a better option before I went any further with the monster. Does anyone bedsides Del have one?
