Something like this isn't as streamlined and light but would be cool nonetheless

Posting on his build thread would get the best results;)

Agreed, don't recall the thread name and not following it and the suns in my eyes and my dog ate it...

Sure wish there was a CampTec option for the FJ Cruiser. I'd be all over it...I'm sure there would be many others as well.

saw this interesting version in the shop today on this Tacoma called Flip-Pac

Over the years I have seen a bunch of these Flip - Pacs at the overland expo and was able to talk to a guy about it and he enjoyed it.

Good looking tacoma for sure. A lot of people have been super stoked on their flip pac over the years (myself included), and then others..... not so much.

Do a search for "Flip pac torsion bar delete" and you'll see what I'm talking about. I believe that is part of the reason why AT Overland out of AZ stopped carrying them. (don't quote me on that)

Nice Phil, could someone do that with a James Baroud or a maggiolina Air top?

That looks really nifty!

On my Taco it would not survive though - I have many scratches on my roof and one tree ripped off one of my gutter strips.

Az trails are too overgrown for such a nice tent:eek:

Nice to know that other rooftop tent manufacturers can do the same.

Phil, your question of try that with other rooftop tents has been answered.

I'm still trying to shake the vision of LCP dancing on the top of his truck...
