I have no idea if this is a fair price. It sounds like a lot of coin for a fairly small surface area with a generic color and a covering that you will have to replace in say 3 years. (If you go this way, I'd be sure to ask about longevity)

Whatever you decide I'm sure you will only be improving on an already great idea.

I found a guy for wrapping the sides only with a gloss white 3M quality product. I dont anything about wrapping what pre-install questions should I ask? The estimated cost for 4 sides on the vehicle is $350, fair?

I must admit the natural look is starting to appeal to me more or maybe Im just getting cheap:hillbilly:

Still researching insulated paint coating for the top, any recommendations?

Fair price IMO

Go with what you like - the natural look was a close 2nd place for me fwiw.

I agree, if you stay "natural" coat the top with something. Any thought about some kind of high grade roofing-type material or durable sticky back insulation?

There's definitely some expo appeal to leaving the natural look, but I think there's something to be said for attracting as little attention as possible so my vote is all white.

What are you thinking for locks?

Are you staying natural?

What are they going to steal, my sheets. Remember I did not cut my roof.;) I would not worry locks IIWY. A lot easier and quicker to bust a window to get in.

Good point.;)

I'm not sure what I'll do. Probably nothing anytime soon. There are other places where money would be better spent. At some point I will address my flares. When that time comes I'll probably consider the top as well. Color matched feels so right, but it's not practical for many of the reasons you have listed here.

The natural aluminum is second best in terms of visual appeal in my opinion as well but the all the white is still the winner for stealth and factory look.

I'd be looking at a more permanent coating/paint option vs. the vinyl wrap. Vinyl wrap will be easiest, most cost effective but I imagine the places you go are like the many places I've been and the roof/tops is always the first portion of the vehicle take the brunt of our lovely AZ pinstriping.
I don't see the vinyl wrapping being cost effective after it takes some punishment...do it right the first time.

Thanks for letting me standing and rocking on it. It is very solid. Very nice inside and outside. It took less than 30 seconds to set up the bed and ladder from when the ignition is turned off :clap:.

Thanks for your help in getting the answers of set-up and breakdown time required. For the record it takes less then 1 minute to break down and close and turn on the ignition.

I would be more concern on the whole camper itself. It is light weight and easy to remove. It could disappear when you came back from a short hike.

Paint schmaint....what was this about a heated suspension bed?

Have any shots from inside?

Is there still enough headroom at the open end to crouch awkwardly and get your gear on/off like we do in most tent setups?

And this one is for Crisco....is there any kind of exterior entrance awning option? I dislike the idea of entering the tent through the opening from the outside when it's raining. As I doubt I'd consider cutting the roof if I was to go this way. Sunroof access perhaps, but how does that opening work with the bed?

Would be hard to hide from the rest of the world on another rig...not a lot of CampTeq running around. Seem to call some attention to itself.

Where did you get that....did you steal it from LCP

54" at the highest point

From me -If you can get in through the sun roof into the CampTeq you more then likely work for Cirque du Soleil or you should.

.

No, I bought it from a Craigslister .

It is the replacement cost that hurts. OK, may be not for you.

Does your auto insurance cover CampTeq camper?
