Nothing really worth showing this weekend. Just removed the rear heater hard/soft lines, and took off the 50" light bar.

How bad were the lines? I took a peek at my hard lines and they look awful. I'm considering soft lines or OEM hard lines with truck bed liner to make them last 40 years instead of 20 years.

Not bad. 30/45 mins. 10mm and 12 mm socket with an extension. Since I'm not using the hard lines ever again, @fourtrax cut them in three places so we could maneuver them out.

I left the heater box in and just put capped the two hard lines coming from the box.

Since I need to slow down and actually read what your saying. . The hard lines looked like s***. Probably the only place on the LC that was rusted.

Why do you want to keep your? NC doesn't get that cold.

Yeap but it makes the kids happy. Sometimes when it's cold outside, I turn on the aux heater and reach down and put my hand in the air flow to warm it up. Hard to do that with the left hand so it just suffers.

Continuing to chip away. Finished the EGR delete by taking out the half of the spaghetti and blocking the EGR with @NLXTACY's "key chain".

Then replacing the paperclip with Derale's power steering cooler. Have the thank @TYM4FUN and @cvenom96 for helping with the parts list.

Also got schooled by @fourtrax on looming the hoses.

Might **** around and loom every hose now

Stopped the the machine shop this morning for a progress report. Looks like I blew the head gasket between the 5th & 6th cylinders.

Said everything else looked good, but I'm going to have them rebuild everything.

Purchased the kit from LC engineering.

Recommended by @lumbee1. Everything is in stock, but I have a time crunch because I deploy in two weeks, but move out of my house in a week. So sending the parts to another MUD member's house just in case.

I ordered my LC Engineering kit last week. It arrived yesterday and I took it down to the machine shop today.

Rebuild kit came in last night. Dropped it off at the machine shop this morning.

ARP head studs should be in Tuesday.

Are the nilights any good?
@John Guedry I think they are. Had them since 2018. They are still bright, no moisture inside and no discoloration. Pretty good price too. I also think there are a few YouTube reviews on them.

Had a great last weekend with the Olde North State Cruisers (ONSC). @jamesurq (also known as ReefMonkey) and @Fort Knox hosted a great Logan's Run event. Though I was without my cruiser, I rode along with Ryan and @Roxx and took some great pics. Ended the event with by winning a few raffles.

I have to continue giving a special thanks to @fourtrax and @4LowandSlow for allowing me to leave the engine-less cruisers at their house and getting the engine when its finish in a few weeks.

This build thread will be slow for the next 6 months while I'm in Africa, but when it picks back up, there'll be a few kool new things.

Have a great deployment dude. No AIDS, malaria, Zika, dengue fever, cholera, anthrax, Ebola, all the hepatitis’, plagues, and I’m sure there’s more. If you come back with any of those, I have first dibs on your cruiser. :flipoff2:

The machine shop called and @fourtrax picked up my engine today.

I’d throw a couple of silica packets in that bag if it were me.
