That was part of the plan.
Just sitting out side (Eng cold) the hood was noticeably hotter then the roof putting my hand on each

That was the plan, but when I pulled it out yesterday to wash off what I though was just sanding dust, turns out I'm a complete moron and got 2K epoxy primer all over the truck and windows
Spent the rest of the afternoon trying to get it off no wonder Monsta liner only want you to use this stuff it really sticks. only got half the truck done
The up side is it's getting years of trail pinstriping off at the same time. The side that's done hasn't looked that good in years

Pretty happy with the color and the way it looks.
I was thinking about doing the center of the hood with the same color.

I say leave it the way it is. The balance is good, too much color variation will look awkward imho.

How much did you spend on materials?
Clear coat on the roof and hood of my cruiser got destroyed by efflorescence dripping through concrete in my apartment basement.
Quote to repair it is $5k+ !!

Total cost less then $150. 00
1 Quart Monstaliner kit $ 80.00 delivered. Just barely enough for the roof.
12 oz can Eastwood 2K epoxy primer $ 40.00 delivered
Solvent, masking tape, Fiberglass impregnated Bondo & rags I had in the shop.
Total prep time less then a day, including roof rack removal.
Another Day to paint including wait time. Half an hour to prime, wait to dry. One hour to roll on the first coat, wait 4 hours to dry. Another hour to roll on the second coat.
Well worth it IMHO very cost effective way to fix clear coat issues.
I would not do any part of your hood with a bright or reflective paint for the same reason I did mine with a flat black bed liner. Many pro sport & racing rigs, as well as planes do the same (flat black color - not bed liner) thing, not for looks but to reduce reflected glare from sunlight. Just food for thought.
Edit: The clear coat on my hood was really starting to suck, so instead of repainting it, I did the bed liner.
