Cliffhanger trail. really fun trail one of the most difficult I have run in Moab.

Mashed potato trail

I should have gotten 39’s! I’ll drop my rig off with you to do the body work here real soon. 👊

Plenty good for a crawler

Hell's Gate Moab
When got there there was a jeep being recovered. It was just my wife and I one a solo run. I wanted to give it a go.
If you listen close you can here the little boy asking his father if there going to have to help me to:rofl:

No spotter first time on the obstacle and the wet tires were not a issue ;)

Nice! You made that look easy.

:D 😅 I suppose I should figure out something as well, are you going to do a full repaint? or roof only?
Well my Rig is a trail rig, and I have already rattle can the hood both front fenders and both rear quarter using Automotive Touchup.com color match Paint.
Good from far but far for good.
The plan is to use Monstaliner on the roof in a color like the armor to help reflect heat as I am in the desert a lot and the dark green really heats up the interior.
And to mimic the 40 series and or the FJ cruiser white roof ;)

Looks better than mine. What is your process for working on the rear quarter panel? How did you get a good seal/fit with the taillight?
I use a piece of 3/4" x 1 3/4" x 36" oak lumber with 1/4 bull nose on all edges like a pry bar, prying against another smaller piece of oak 3/4" x 1" the length of the tail light placed closest to the tail gate.
Starting in the center of the dent and moving it often, I don't try to get it all a once just keep moving around a little at a time. I also use a small block to tuck around the lip of the opening.
And of course once it's close I use the tail light the black housing to check fit and adjust as necessary.
Then a bit of hammer and dolly to try to smooth it out ( I suck at that part )
I never use Bondo because I know I'm going to smash it again I don't like cleaning bondo up off the trail.

Started prepping for a up coming run on the Fordyce Trail next weekend with @mustcamp and his Son, super excited about the run as I have been wanting to run this trail for a few years now.
The Fordyce trail is one of the toughest trails in the Sierras, similar to the Rubicon but with harder obstacles.
Should be a epic trip !!

Then as soon as I get back I start getting ready for SAS, going to be a great summer with lots of runs planed, Fuel prices be damned, I'm going wheeling !!

You guys will love the Fordyce trail. Have you confirmed the river flow volume?

We made to the trail head yesterday at noon and started wheeling in.
Made to winch hill one by 5:30 and decided to make camp and tackle in the morning
