Oh Boy, that gear is toast. You're going to need first gear, when plowing. You should be able to find a cheap one, up there.

At least you can eat a rabbit. :)

Could be!

Have you done the 2Lo mod to your t-case linkage? (2 as in 2WD, not 2nd gear).

Wot in the sam hell happened to that gear?

I'll look into the conversion, it would make driving around the property easier until I can find another gear box. Thanks.

From the looks of the plow blade, the previous owner hit everything but the snow sometimes and it took it's toll on the gear.

:-)

Britklr,

I've been wanting to ask you about your door panels. How did they turn out? We need pictures of how you mounted them and any tips on keeping a straight line, when jigsawing.

What is your plan for the first gear problem.

The panels turned out nicely. Due to working on the house and tranny I haven't installed them yet. I hope to install them soon.

I'll be sure to post pix and info once installed.

As for cutting straight lines i use the old panels as the template and simply do my best with sharp blade and going slow.

I'm hoping to pick up a used 3 spd in the next several weeks to do the repair.

Take care.

Wow!!! You rock! Thanks.

Pm sent.

Hey Man,

My three speed is all yours if you want it. When's the next trip to CO?

I'll be headed through KC after the first of the year (but, I doubt you want to wait that long).

Cheers.

Travis-

Great meeting you and we really appreciate the new tranny!

I haven't got it in yet but once I start I'll post up some pix.

Take care and hope the kids feel feel better.

Somebody didn't know that first gear was not synchromesh and tried to downshift while moving is my guess...

Hey Paul,

I was great meeting you and your wife.

Hope the tranny and tcase work out for you.

Be careful on those milk crates! ;)

Thanks again for the . Loved it!

Cheers,

Your probably right....except the plow looks like they hit everything but the snow so a combination of shifting and shock I would guess. Thanks

A

The working pig earned its keep the last time out at the house. There was about 1 to 3 feet of snow on the driveway that needed moving. Although I only had second and third gear, WP didn't have a problem moving it!

I hope to put Travis's new tranny in once I have time and some mild weather.

Thanks guys....it is a lovely place.

Scrap daddy- here's a shot of your stick shift conversion at work. Thanks again.

Also, i wanted to share a pic of the red neck safety margins we are currently using until the front seat is put back in, it certainly makes for a very exciting plowing event....
