A single custom piece from the air cleaner top straight to a 90 to the inlet, with the MAF in the middle, would be tits.
No you really don’t want to put the MAF in a bend we already looked at that.
No, MAF in the straight part, before the bend.

Are you saying take the lid of the air cleaner apart? Create a new custom piece that would have to be welded back into the lid? If so beyond the scope of "bolt on" turbo kit. But yes could be done.

Bolt-on is way different than cut-to-fit and paint-to-match. Two totally different approaches.
Just a thought, since I don't know anything about turbos except that I NEED one, a long time ago there was an Mud-induced OCD scare regarding the oil pressure relief valves. How they were little known and a potential threat, etc. etc. So there are two of these (with associated spring): one on the oil pump and, I believe, one on the oil cooler.
Should this be offered at a California-sized mark up on the Wit's End site or included in the kit???
Did you harden those rods yourself, or did you get help?Because I can’t trust you guys to do anything right, I’m now supplying the 11/64” centering punch for the oil drain fitting
