Long term testing on the #1FZ #Turbo oil drain fitting that was custom designed for this install. It’s what prevents the need for tig welding an oil bung onto the oil pan. This has been on for nearly a year and everything is looking good so far.

Wonder if there’s a good location like that on the 3FE...
 
BTW, I’ve been asked why there are two small bits. One is 7/64” and the other is 3.3mm

The 7/64” is like 20 thou smaller than the minor of the M4 screw. Since everyone is using a hand drill, the bit will walk and the hole won’t be perfectly perpendicular. So it’s the rough in hole. The #30 3.3mm drill bit acts as a ream and cuts the hole nice and perfect to make sure you have enough material for the M4 tap. ;)
 
Since I have no idea how the CARB process works, can you provide any update?
