I’ve been getting a LOT of PMs. Folks, you did not lose out on your chance to get this. I am making 25 complete kits and 50 of specific components. I’m pretty sure I’m making enough to take care of everyone...and then some.

Wow where do i sign up? after procrastinating about the TRD supercharger 2nd run, and looking at new ones for $3300 at some point years ago, and telling my self that is not good for Overlanding (ie. needing to find high octane fuel and higher MPGs) I am very interesting in this turbo kit.

OTRAMM’s exhaust, oh man the Pandora’s box continues.
Is this going to be a recommended addition for optimum performance?
Is your “down pipe” also the “y-pipe” that is commonly referred to the same part? Same thing, just different terminology?
I know I’ve read that the y-pipe is the most restrictive part of the stock
exhaust system.
All that being said, is OTRAMM’s exhaust a better flowing exhaust & recommended, or is stock adequate for this turbo application.
I don’t mind putting on new exhaust, but if I won’t see any real performance numbers from it, my stock pipes are still in pretty good condition.

The Y-Pipe connects the two sections of the headers and drops it to the catalytic converters.
The Turbo J pipe is going to connect to both sections of the headers and connect them to the turbo. The down pipe goes from the exhaust out end of the turbo to the cats. So, yes this will replace the stock Y pipe.
Now OTTRAM’s exhaust is supposed to connect to the factory Y pipe, so, ideally if it fits a stock truck, it should fit an OTTRAM exhaust truck. However, should isn’t always does.
I’m sure some of the folks who have more experience can tell you about performance gains. My understanding is unless you’re going full Monty with stand alone engine Managment, and running lots of boost, you are likely not going to see a huge difference between stock exhaust and OTTRAM’s in terms of wheel horsepower.

@OTRAMM ’s is 2.5” just like factory but it’s fully mandrel bent SS in rediculously thick gauge pipe and uses all factory hangers. The mandrel vs. press bends in the factory exhaust is the “upgrade” performance wise. But to be fair I don’t think it was built as a performance exhaust, just a bolt on over the frame replacement for the obd2 trucks.

Do you still expectt the kit to run about $4,000? Seems like a lot of time and attention to detail has gone in to this project so I wouldn't be surprised if the price has gone up some.

Ok dumb question but in case you can't get higher octane fuel on a longer trip couldn't you just always carry some Lucas Octane booster with you as a back up?
It would be a less than ideal solution. Does octane booster improve the octane, sure. But think of gas like food.
You can put the best toppings, and marinades on a steak, but if it’s rotten the toppings don’t change that. Might make it more palatable before it makes you sick, but it’s still not good for you.
I wouldn’t boost anything I planned on taking to a third world country where quality gasoline is the exception and not the rule. That’s also where this kit shines! If you still do most of your driving in areas with quality gas, you can just unbolt the kit when it comes time for your South America trip.
As always, not every mod fits every adventure or adventurer.

Spares sure but mostly for individual builds. But not going to make those available until the first round of kits sell so that I guarantee I’m not underwater
