Who makes them for the GX?

I have the budbuilt sliders and a full set of his skids.... I really like the design of buds skids.... extra beefy and with full length bracing against the frame (see pic) and they bolt through the frame (all hardware included) with nice full width supports for the backside of the frame.

Demello Offroad sliders for same year 4runner bolt right up.

And MetalTech's OPOR sliders. Very nice to have choices!

The White Knuckles at $540 no powder coat with standard kickout is an outstanding deal especially with that 10% off discount. The only downside is the long wait time but loved mine for my 100 series.

Got mine from Hefty fab. They don’t advertise for the GX but make them. Talked to Chris and he gave me a deep discount on kit form, so if you weld....

You can see them in my build thread.

I had mine made waaay back before anyone made sliders for a GX. I would say SSO, Hefty Fab, and Slee are the high end right now. Minimalist fab has a pretty nice set too for the low price point market. I love mine so much. They have never let me down!

I didn't know that White Knuckle was making sliders for the GX470. I visited the shop yesterday to check them out. Great quality. The design is exactly what I have been looking for. Nice options to choose from. Ordered a set for my 04 /KDSS.

What were their thoughts on which steel to use?

Can’t believe no one has mentioned OPOR through Metal Tech website. These were the cheapest option when I was in the market. But don’t bother with the NutCerts unless you have done them before. Either weld them on or get through Bolt hardware.

Good call, complete miss on my part. Was thinking of it first and forgot to type it entirely!

@little_joe mentioned them in post #5....I also have these and am happy with them (at the time, definitely a good price). Looks like lots of options for the OP to choose from.

DOM all the way. I saw the OPOR sliders but the fact that they only have 2 support legs worries me for hard use. Im leaning towards White Knuckle myself.

Those WKOR sliders look real solid. Plus, you are close to them so you won't have to have them shipped.

I have the 1st version of the OPOR with 3 legs that I bought locally- I'm very happy with them. Don't do much hard stuff but they have saved me 2 times on large boulders- scraped down to bare metal but no deflection in the tubing.
