Righto my 80 probably has original body mounts fitted at the factory in 1992.

I know from observation that the front left one is pretty roasted, and I think the front right is the same.

What do people think based on these pics?

I know that it's a big job to re-do all the body mounts, and I don't know if Toyota parts places would be able to provide/supply all the individual parts to fully renew the mounts with OEM again.

Is anyone doing body mount replacement on their 80's any more? There's a shed load of listings on Ebay for aftermarket body mount kits but they only seem to be the mounts themselves not any associated hardware, and that hardware is probably one of the main bits of the puzzle.

Yes, there are a few folks on here that have replaced all their mounts and hardware. partsouq seems to be the least expensive place to get the rubber parts. May have to order in two separate lots to avoid import fees if you're intending to do 100% all at one time.

Check the build thread for @FMC80 . He used a flor jack and a bunch of wood blocks to jack up the body.
A couple others drove it into a lift, set the hoist under the body, loosened up everything, lifted the body, then swapped and set back down.

It's only money and time.

And I got my info from @baldilocks

Body mounts are still available for our USDM rigs as long as we mix and match HDJ mounts for two locations.

You won’t have issues replacing yours.

Don’t do it like I did. I only kept the pics up because it’s a good lesson for others and good lesson in humility for me.

But it helped me recall who did it!
