A few days ago, I sent BS an Engine oil sample as well as a Gear oil sample from the front diff....
Engine oil used was Toyota Genuine 10w-30 (non-synthetic)
I usually change the oil @ 3,000 religiously, but for this sample, I stretched it out to 4,500...
I was also harder on the rig than usual with multiple full throttle stoplight sprints and longer idle times in the hot Florida sun
My main concern of course was coolant contamination and after the results came back with high sodium, I'm not really sure what to think
Gear oil used was Valvoline 80w-90 (non-synthetic)
The sample was taken @ 10,500 miles since the last change...
Main concern for this sample was of course birf grease contamination...
Again, I'm a bit confused with the results
So far, I'm not experiencing any problems whatsoever
Engine runs great, idles smooth, exhaust is clear with no harsh odor....
Front diff oil looked clean and both grease cavities looked free of gear oil (used a small metal rod as a dipstick)
Anyone else have similar results?
