Correct haha. Just drove 400km straight today and engine strong as ever. Another proof of how robust these engines are. Feeling good now, it will take more than a dumb mate to kill the beast. Thanks all for the replies

Yeah, don't lose any sleep over it. A few seconds isn't going to kill it. Certainly wouldn't recommend it.

Hi all,

Pretty annoyed today as I was doing my oil change. My mate decided to “help me” while i was gone from car by turning on engine for a few seconds while the oil was dripping to “help me get the oil down faster”. He even accelerated once, not like crazy or anything he told me. He might have done that 4 times for maybe 5/10 seconds then turn engine off.

I would knee cap him but I'm irish.

If anything happens to your mate, you have publicized motive. I would delete this thread.

Even the police drives LC in Aus, I can assure you they will understand the motive.
