Great to see the progress you're making and I'm excited to see it rolling at the Father's Day event. Your dad I'm sure is smiling watching the progress.

Updates? BTW, I bought a 4plus tire carrier so I didn't have to drill holes to mount my stock carrier on the new tub. Plus it's significantly beefier and doesn't rattle.

Sorry to hear about your loss...

My mom lost dat at 61 married for 42 years, she lost for the first year and i now doing well.

Been busy selling one house and finishing a reno on the other, I will get over for some measurments soon, lots of tend and twelve hour days on the house.

Wow finally I have time to work on the cruiser again. It’s been a crazy summer, never home and jumping from one boat to another.
Ok so the push is on, hood and skirts are in the paint booth and will be ready for pick up next week Wednesday which is my first day off. I want her painted assembled and running by late spring so I have my work cut out for me

Right now I need to test fit and drill the tub once I have the body mounts figured out. I am having issues lining up the running board to the bottom edge of the fender and the fender mount to the running board support. I’m pretty sure I need to get the body mounts installed correctly first and tighten the body down to the frame before I move onto anything else.
Good to be back home and working o n the cruiser, hope everyone had a good summer.

So I finally got the rest of my big items picked up from the body shop, everything i have them has been painted in epoxy primer. I have it roughly fitted and once I have the tub bolted down then I can start the final alignment and drilling

Good morning Cruiser peeps. Time to start up again. On today’s menu is the dash cluster mounting. And I will post a few picks of my reupholstered seats that cost me a small fortune and ended in a argument, but they are 90% done and look good so I’m moving on. Also today I will try to get the Teseven tub mounted to the frame.(Finally)

I need some feed back about whether or not to add the side window defrosters? I don’t have a problem drilling the dash but I’m wondering if I should or not. I know it came with the “Canadian edition” because of the colder temperatures .I’ll hold off until I get some feed back from you guys

Tapered dowels were bigger then the original holes so I had to bore them out slightly. OME dampener installed and now I’m back to working on the dash

Mounting the dash pads. I find a drill that’s close to the hole size, drill it and use a small triangle file to square up the holes to take the clips. Fits perfectly.

And the drivers pad is done too.

So I found that for the center dash it was best to drill almost to size and then use a die grinder with a carbide burr bit to square up the holes before I put the inserts in.

For the ashtray,Teseven only provides the bottom mounting tabs which causes the ashtray to have a lot of flex. My answer to this problem is to drill out the upper mount from my factory cowl and spot weld it in after I clean and paint it.

So I don’t know if you can see this all that well but the right bottom side of the dash angles down ever so slightly towards the door. Maybe the sheet metal wasn’t 100% square when it was lunch out but I can shim the one side of the cubby door and it will be perfect

Before and after. I didn’t need to shim it I just had to adjust the sheet metal where the cubby box door hinge mounts to the cowl. It look straight now.

That’s it for today, tomorrow I’m back to work for 4 days then 5 days off so I’m hoping that I can continue making progress, I didn’t get to the body mounts but I might tackle that over the next few evenings. Cheers
