Wow, that was quick. I love all things French, especially the Pyrenees. This is why in November , 2016, I was wistfully looking for an old house that I might be able to afford, that I could renovate as a retirement project. I found a wreck but it was too far gone. In passing I noticed a very small ivy covered barn. That was more like what I had in mind. The open entrance was completely covered in ivy but through the foliage I saw the magic words : Toyota. ( I want to stop now , as I must learn how to download pictures)

:bounce:the suspense is killing me! :bounce2:

Good start, please continue. Same color BJ42 than mine (for now). Please show us the rest of it. How bad is it?

Does look like it's sustained a hit on the front. Good luck, send more pics.

Wasn't expecting such interest so will say a little more. Having fought my way through the jungle then curtains of thick cobwebs I could just discern in the gloom what had once been a BJ42. Mesa man is right! She had indeed rolled over the hill. The owner, now deceased, was trying to shoot something through the window. Justice! I knew nothing about BJ42's but my son restores classic cars and my immediate thought was he could be inerested. By the light of a small torch I could see quite severe body pain but the chassis looked reasonable(?). I contacted my son to see if he was interested . No thanks , too much work. OK, but I like a challenge. I have been retired for 30 years and I needed a good hobby. But did I have enough time? (More tomorrow)

:bang: Ouch!.... Perfect candidate for a crawler project!

It's never pretty when a 40 series rolls. Best of luck reviving it!

Having made contact with the deceased owners brother, I had to return to the UK to do some homework. Unbelievably, 40 series here are almost non existant. And spares, totally. Trawling the web, however, I found where the parts are. Portugal, USA, Australia. You could say worldwide. I was, however bitten and undaunted I telephoned an offer to Jean-Claude. Maybe regrettably for me , he accepted. Not having even seen the beast out of its cocoon, arrangements were made for it to be delivered to my front door. Consequently , on a freezing January evening, 2017, she arrived , as if from a long sleep, waiting to be rescued. Oh boy, what a sight!
