Thanks for reading through, it's mostly boring material. I can't take credit for most of that stuff. I just had the idea of what I wanted and someone with tons of talent made it happen. Good Luck on your build.
Thanks I decided to put it back together and it all works fine. I just needed to tightened everything up a bit.
Ok New Year's Eve. WE had reservations downtown and it was open bar. I was supposed to meet friends at their place and take a cab from there. On our way down the cab cancels and it was too late to get another one, so everyone decides they can only fit in my cruiser. I had plans that involved me not being the designated driver

. So 6 people get in Big Red and we drive down the highway at around 60 mph. The EGTs were between 800-900 and a few times at 1000 when passing. We finally find a parking spot that was part on concrete part on the grass and was about 8 blocks from our destination.
this is it downtown. see if you can spot the owl.
As we're getting back I get this sinking feeling that something is wrong so I hurry to the truck. When I get there, a tow truck was pulling up behind it to tow. Long story short, he didn't tow my rig. But now we had an extra drunk with us and no cab was stopping to take her home, plus she lived about 15 more miles south. Guess who got to take her and 5 other drunk people home. I drove a total of 65 miles last night at highway speeds and I'm very impressed with the acceleration and EGTs. The EGTs were still the same between 800 and 900 ( if you guys remember I was having issues when we first got the swap done.) The boost would hit 20 psi easy as well.
I think the combination of changing out the governor springs, larger airbox really paid off. So far I'm really happy with the truck. Now that I have most of the mechanical issues taken care of with exception of some steering and bushing replacements, I'll be focusing on accessories.
Happy new year to you all.
