Honestly, I hounded him day and night to the point where I was annoyed. He got tired of hearing from me so he finished the project. Try that before you go get them.

The little things annoy me so much. The cap of the power steering reservoir is leaking,no big deal I just have to go to Toyota and get a new one, but the driveway has another huge puddle of fluid now. Hopefully today's rain will wash most of that off.
I also have a tiny leak in the rear right brake drum. I already have the wheel cylinder that it needs and the replacement shoes, but I have spidertrax spacers on with red locktite. I never had to remove red locktite before, how hard is this going to be? Either way I won't be able to get to it before the new year, so I might as well wait until I can take it back to the community college garage.
Let me know if you experience with removing red locktite. Thanks.

I thought about that, but they specifically say don't ever use an impact gun. I wonder if they only meant when you're installing them, not removing them.

First off, Merry Christmas everyone. 
Secondly, As I'm sitting here contemplating some of the maintenance or parts replacement work I need to get done it occurs to me that maybe I should look into replacing the wheel studs. I don't know how often those need to be replaced or how hard the job is. Is it something to be concerned with since I have 1.5 in spacers on all corners, or am I just over thinking cause I'm bored and obsessive like that? Your input is much appreciated.

back from taking the 
to see her family this week. the good news is I got to shoot every hang gun caliber except the .50 cal for free. It was the first time she got to shoot a hand gun and she did really well cause she had a good teacher . Her sister was there too, so I had to babysit them for a bit until they felt comfortable enough to be on their own. the bad news it was a 7 hour trip and we got stuck in 2 hour traffic going there .
Been back two days now and I started working on replacing the wheel cylinder on my rear right brakes. First I thought the spacers would be a problem coming off, but I was able to break them loose . No heat was required, just some good old fashioned marine muscle. They were tight enough to where I wouldn't worry about road vibrations loosening them up, but I thought these things were supposed to be ridiculously strong. The problem came when I tried to get the drum out. That took about two hours of cussing, hammering and second guessing myself; it also humbled be quite a bit. yes I used two 12 mm bolts, but they weren't long enough so they pushed the drum out only half way. By the time I got it off it was getting dark, so I replaced the cylinder only. Will finish the rest tomorrow hopefully.
For some reason I can't post pictures right now so pretend you're looking at a hot chick at a gun range shooting a .45 with a good grouping.

I got to take my best friends mom shooting for the first time so that she felt more comfortable with her HD firearm. It was a blast seeing her confidence with guns rise, now wish years later, she's going to range a couple times a month to hone them skills!

it got dark and i didn't have anyone to help me bleed the brakes, i hope to finish this project before next year.
EDIT: Ignore the jack stand. I placed it close so I can put it under the axle, in the picture it looks like it's under the leaf spring.

Go to Harbor Freight and they have a little hand vacuum pump bleeder for like $20. I bought it and made the job of bleeding the brakes MUCH easier! Well worth the $20.

The nearest harbor freight is about 25 miles from me. I'll just have to wait until she gets off work to finish this simple job. I'll make sure to pick one up in the future when I'm down there. Thanks for the tip.

For the record I don't like the name Big Red,the previous owner named it and I decided to keep its legacy, plus it's bad luck to change a name. I wanted to call it Spoils of War. I'll probably end up naming my boat that if I ever buy one.

Ok need some real time help. Replaced the shoes, Springs and everything else. I adjusted the star wheel so the drum can fit but before I put the spacers on I checked the hand brake, my rear wheel still spins. Did I miss something, or is this something I can fix after I put the tire on.
