So if I buy these front and rear Toyota reman calipers...

47730-60060-84
47750-60060-84

Do they include these?

90430-10074 for the high pressure gaskets
90401-10015 for the high pressure fittings

If no, how many qty for the high pressure fitting?

Those aren’t front and rear. Those are fronts only. RH/LH

About ready to do the caliper swap. Any special tools for the job? Flare nut wrench? If so, what size is needed for the 80 series? I haven't needed to mess with the calipers before and this is the first time I'm bleeding the brakes myself.

Finally, for the DOT 3 brake fluid...any recommendations?

Update: A few links for cross reference:
Best brake fluid

Brake line flare wrench size?

I've used Napa Eclipse exclusively for about 4 years. Been through a few other brands, but with me having to warranty my work I didn't need the hassles.

I've seen some bosses on the rear calipers damaged and hard to seal. Look closely at those.

So what are the differences, if any, between the NAPA Eclipse reman front caliper and the Toyota reman front caliper besides the qty 2 copper washer (gasket) and qty 1 high pressure fitting (banjo bolt)?

Toyota reman comes with nothing, but the caliper itself. NAPA Eclipse comes "fully loaded", but is sht parts aside from the caliper itself.

If I want to rebuild the rear calipers, what parts do I need? I noticed that Toyota still supplies these as new and double the front's price.

I think cruiserparts sells a "loaded" rear caliper. I had to buy one because my bleeder was seized. I could be wrong.

But, I rebuilt my horrible looking calipers and that was two years ago and they're still fine. Its a really simple mechanism. New bleeders can be had from Mr. T as well as all the rubber pieces. New slide pins for the front is a good idea. Again, all available from Mr. T, right down to the brakepad holder clips.

I installed caliper from Advance Auto four years ago. They worked fine until this summer, both ended up dragging, most likely a frozen piston. Lifetime warranty, which they honored no questions asked. FWIW...

Just installed a Napa Eclipse caliper on my rear PS today and the threaded holes for the caliper mount were painted over. I chased them with the bolt backwards and that allowed me to install but the top bolt was questionable whether it was starting to strip.

I used the supplied high pressure fitting and copper washers and now I see Beno's posts so looks like I'll be pulling it apart again! Have to get in there again anyway since the dealer sold me the wrong shoes for the parking brake.

Nothing, the Napa remans I got were toyota OEM castings that had been rebuilt.

Are you talking about doing your own rebuild on the calipers? If so you need a seal kit at least. Otherwise you can jut remove them take them to napa for the core and get their reman'd toyota units.

I've ran napa reman's for 20,000mi with their hardware and have not had any issues. That said I flush my fluid every 12mo and stay very on top of my brake system.

I just put new NAPA rears on my 97 last week. What should have been super simple turned into a couple of days because NAPA had some improper castings. They had 100 series castings that were labeled and boxed as 80 series castings. They will fit the bolts. but the piston is larger and it doesn't have holes drilled for the top cover. It took them 4 tries to find the right ones.

FWIW It seems Napa quality is really slipping in the reman department. I'm currently trying to replace an 80 series front Eclipse caliper due to a seized piston, and while Napa is happy to replace it, the sealing surface on the replacements have either been gouged or very rough. I've refused to accept 3 different calipers so far at the counter. Had a similar experience with the rears before I gave up and ended up sanding the surface myself.

What sealing surface are you looking at to determine this? Are you removing the boot and pulling the piston? At the counter?

Installed Toyota Reman calipers on the front nine years ago, still working perfectly. FWIW.

Oh no, sorry. Referring to the surface/boss where the brake line attaches. Admittedly I've been using the NAPA supplied crush gaskets... had no idea there was a difference between these and OEM. Still, it's worth pulling the little plug that covers this area just to see what you're dealing with before taking them home.

Replaced my front calipers with Napa Eclipse 50000 miles ago along with OEM rotors and 100 pads. Also flushed and replaced frame to axle hoses with longer Toyota ones. Swapped pads after 36000 miles due to me really not satisfied with the 100 series pad upgrade. Switched to DBA T3 rotors and 80 EBC yellow pads. Found at least 2 of 8 pistons seized which made it a pain to install new pads and have a good pull to the DS when braking now. Not sure if the 100 pads made it worse but expected these calipers to be solid for a bit longer than that. The DBA/EBC yellow combo is rad, especially for my 7500# loaded weight. But definitely gotta deal with these calipers very soon. Rebuild or buy again? Toyota?

If I have a Toyota core, I would rebuild the Toyota.

If I have a Napa Eclipse core, I would exchange for a lifetime exchange at no charge.

Thanks! Yeah it’s Napa, didn’t know about the lifetime exchange.

Can't find Eclipse on Napa's site. Is the Adaptive One the same??

What part numbers did you order for front and rear?

It looks like fronts are:
47730-60060-84 (RH)
47750-60060-84 (LH)

Looks like rears are:
47730-60110 (RH)
47750-60110 (LH)

Can you confirm?

Edit: I ordered some brake parts from Toyota. Will update my post with part numbers and pics when it all comes in.
