I've used 2 of them with no problems.. direct bolt up...So have you installed one of these yet?
I'm looking for bolt-in with no issues or mods.
The Denso is my first choice but have only found at $400, earlier I read some have pick-up for ~$140.

Yeah Rock Auto was first place I looked along with Amazon & ebay.Go to Rock Auto and search - several reasonably priced options there. Dense shows out of stock.
I did not realizes when I asked if you've used that the last sentence was from you @ponyti. Are you the author of points A.-F.?This was from another thread where they asked if they needed the foam but it applies...kinda
A couple points....
A. the gap the foam closes equals about 12sq inches so yes I'd replace the foam... that is a huge volume of air that is now being forced under the hood with zero net gain... might as well use it to cool the radiator...
B. 90% of the replacement radiators I've run into are 2 row vs the 4 row OEM means less damed up air pressure
C. 2 row is not really a bad thing... in a previous life I was around air flow and heat transfer and often the first rows were so effective that by the time the air got to the 3rd & 4th rows it had little heat absorption/dissipation ... basically just added weight and the amount of coolant it held...
D. your temp gauge won't show hot when you have a catastrophic coolant system failure because the temp sending unit has to measure the coolant temp... if it ain't there... you get no temp reading...
E. Opinion... I think most 2 row radiators will more than cool the 4.7 toyota.... and increase performance by a very small %... less restrictive = better mpg, less weight = better mpg, less weight is less prone to typical failure at the seams less stress and more surface area at the seams on the ones I've seen...
F. the 2 row are less than $100 online
I have 2 in use now... and I do watch them I have experienced 4 failures in 4 row radiators and so far none with the 2 row... but I check my oil at every fill up and look for signs of radiator leaking...

The OEM radiator is manufactured by T.Rad, not Denso.TM do you know who manufacture the OEM?

The above makes reference to lower pressure. I'm wondering if any issue from low pressure like getting adequate flow to rear heater or back pressure on water pump?
Denso does indeed manufacture OE radiators for Toyota but not for Land Cruisers. Toyo Rad/T.Rad has supplied radiators for Japan built LC's since the 40 series... at least. If your radiator is original, check the top, near the reservoir.FWIW the rep on the phone said there were two OEM suppliers to Toyota since mid 1990's for radiators: Denso & Valeo. Went to Valeo's interchange and did not however find a radiator application for Landcruiser (or v8 tundra, 4runner, sequoia). So maybe Denso was the only provider to OEM for the LC/Lx.
Speaking with CARID rep., after checking with her source on back order time for Denso, 6 wks and price was higher now, recommend I go with "Replace". They actually have a brand called Replace.Looks like summer heat has taken its toll on replacement radiators: Denso out of stock everywhere. But CarId has them for $188 1-2week wait.

Local radiator shop I've used for many years has KOYO $192 gives life time warranty. AZ heat is a great test for sure.Go with Koyo. I have them both in my 80 and 100. Exact fit and virtual duplicates of the originals. Mine have plastic tanks. In AZ they work great. Ned

I'm not so sure we have 4 row in OEM. Interesting when looking in Radiator top I see two rows of openings (slits). I'm going to cut one open and find out, when I've time.Sounds like a great platform for debate, but I would have a hard time buying that the 2 row lower cost radiator would provide the same benefit or durability as OEM over the long haul( just opinion). 50% more coolant isn't necessarily a bad thing- i.e.; longer service life. A properly working thermostat controls/regulates engine cooling, not the thickness of the radiator right? On the 2 row radiator, I would wonder how the fan shroud matches up to the fan & radiator, (any gaps?) and if the internals in the 2 row radiator are larger to move more fluid, especially concerning if any effects on rear AC performance.
Anyway if you are in a rush, I found you a Denso radiator in stock: for $255 shipped. Buyautoparts.com part# 19-01461 (Denso 221-3152)- Double check model year application. I get conflicting info from Denso's website and the buyautoparts website for applications on later model years 03-07. Denso says 221-3152 fits, but buyautoparts indicates it doesn't. Rep said the Denso application for 03-07 has been discontinued. There was another manufacturer suggested: CSF pn#3006 (but this is a 2 row option) and the price is about $125.

The pic was what you'd get if you ordered new from Toyota. My radiator looks similar to yours... where you can barely make out the T.Rad symbol.Is that factory installed? What year is that from?
Cool I've been trying to read my radiators and one just had a bit of this readable, although numbers are different: Toyota / 5021 / 694 *3**0 JAPAN/ L X/
I told him 01 LC and Denso 221-3152 is what I've been searching. Maybe he found they didn't have after your call. Interest too is their picture of 19-01461 state Denso is OEM underneath, and states in stock. @hoser picture and statement indicates Denso it's not OEM. I like Denso products and would buy if they had either way. So I just calling buyautoparets again, spoke with different rep, it's not in stock.Yeah I quizzed the buyauto guy for several answers, funny he thought you were me. If you are replacing the radiator in pre-03 model the Denso 221-3152 part# 19-01461 they have in stock.
