Please, please do a build thread. I think it is something a lot of us are wanting to tackle, but it seems a little daunting. There are a lot of threads w/ 4-link stuff, but a 3-link front / 4-link rear thread, I cannot find anywhere!

I want to be able to street it some, but love that flex man. I know it rides well and has very little body roll too! Nice.

And 76FJ40, that FJuggy is just plain sick.

Here's what ya do :) I"m in the middle of parts ordering for my 4-link rear with coil springs.

Make your own or buy the axle end mounts/ buy a truss and use your preference of joints/bushings/heims/Johnny Joints. Buy whatever DOM tubing you'd like and go to town....at least thats what I'm doing :grinpimp: I'm waiting for the rest of my DOM to show up and the Johnny Joints.

Actually, I didn't shoot that Suzie, just a good picture of my dog. But I have knocked down 1 or 2 when the Greenheads weren't flyin'.

Just kidding and yes it is a good looking dog. I would be happy to knock down anything these days. The hunting is poor here

$235??? Pricy little boogers. I would think those could be made by a local shop for a little cheaper, or maybe a market for someone here on MUD... FJ40 4-Link brackets.

Those are some cool looking brackets!

It rides nice on the street as well. I do need a sway bar though. Gets kinda hairy on a sharp turn at a moderate rate of speed without one. I will make a new thread soon. I dont want to step all over someone elses thread here.:ban:

Oh it all CAN be made cheaper. It's just knowing the angles, heights etc. This option seems like a pretty sweet alternative to get you started. It's adjustable and looks well built. That could take out A LOT of though/design.

You just have to find someone that can make it, and know what they are doing.

i like the way you think, i've got modified rear 60 springs all 4 corners too! :D

If $ and skill required are no object then coilovers and links will out flex SOA all day. But if you have to pay someone then I would go SOA, just simpler and cheaper overall. SO I think your poll is a little skewed. Most flex is different that most flex yet still reasonable for most people? I dunno how to state it, I just always think that links, coilovers, etc are another league.

i've got soa and my friend has soa in the front and coil over in the back. all i can say is, man his rides good. lot more flex in the back, too.

exactly...running coils at one end and leafs at the other is difficult to balance...one end does most of the work...

Mine is quite balanced...IMO, the 1/4's in the rear work perfect with the SOA in front
