I made custom brass stepped washers to make up for the thickness difference between the header and the OEM intake. I used longer "studs" with stainless steel nuts with anti seize compound. I made sure the surfaces were flat. I used 2 man-a-fre header gaskets that were soaked in warm water for 1/2 hour. Torqued in sequence by 1/3. After it heated up good I did the nuts again at 100%. After a few dozen heat cycles I hit them again at 100% The system has been on 2 different engines 3 different times and has never leaked since like the 80's.
I also cut a notch in the air filter bracket so a socket would easily fit that nut under it.
Later I made a fluid heat riser for the bottom of the intake to help prevent carburetor ice in the winter.
If I had the money I'd buy the stainless unit.

I recently went with the MAF ceramic coated header withe FJ60 y-pipe. Had to mod the Y-pipe but they told me that I had to do it. If you have a God muffler shop around you can have that done .

I would suggest cutting the ports plate in two, giving you two three port plates. Helps with future warping due to heat.Caught my attention too.
