Will delete the flap. Never liked it.I have a bottlepro I used to use in my old truck. Doesn’t work so well with land cruiser cup holders due to the cover. I never really close that so if a new piece required deleting the flap that’d be ok by me. Maybe it could mount flush with the console making the wells larger at the same time?
Can't wait to see what you come up with on this one!!!Working on something to replace the whole cuoholder. The original one is just too shallow.

I cut a piece of stall mat to replace the flap since that seemed to be the access point for all the debris to fall below the console. I would love it if you made something that looks more factory. Will delete the flap. Never liked it.
Update on the drawer delete/replacement.
I never use the factory drawer/cupholder. The reason is that it is too shallow to hold a drink. When the drawer is retracted, there is almost no space in there for storage. After removing the drawer, I see some space behind there for a small power inverter. Plan is (1) make a versatile face plate that could be configured based on individual need, (2) mount a small (150W-200W) power inverter behind the face plate.
The cupholder design is not completed. I put the prototype to illustrate that the cup holding function can be retained.
Comments please.

I am laughing while typing this reply. I do these designs not following the order. Sometime I got stuck I just jump to other projects. How’s #15 shifter knob going in the que?
@BenCC .... have an idea about a mod to the overhead Scangauge mount. Mic on one side (already available) aaaaaannnnnnnddddd a mount for a Cat5 plug! I want to mount my GMRS radio (MXT275) in the back of the cab and then run a Cat5 line all they way through the cab, up the A-pillar and into the overhead console where I could have a Cat5 plug. I could quickly plug in the mic when on trails and then unplug it and stow it in the armrest when daily driving. I prefer the mic up high.
MXT275 ---> female to female adapter on Scangauge mount ---> radio mic
Correct?
OK! I will incorporate one RJ45 coupler in the Scangauge mount. You have a Make 1, right?

I don't have it yet. Will place the order tomorrow. I'm ordering the one with the switch blank on either side and adding the mic (Make 27?) to one side. The RJ45 coupler would go in the other "blank"
