good shot of my harbor frieght breaker bar shifter poking through my bling'n tunnel cover and up top is a pic of the trick dashbox. sure beats the old foam dash cover and gives me just that much more storage.

got it back in the garage so i can pull the xsfr and put in the clocking ring. Also had to take my driveshaft to the shop and have it shortened so i dont break something if the rear compresses too much.

My OPINION of why we are in afghanistan is as follows:

1. helps regulate the influx of fighters from pakistan and provides us with another foothold in the middle east

2. ever since we aided thier defeat of Communist Russia their civil genocides only got worse under an oppressive regime of close minded old men who have too much power and too many ignorant un-educated but dedicated followers to do their bidding. And their bidding is right on par with Stallin and Hitler; and just like the second great war, we stepped in, saved the people that could not save themselves and get riduculed by those who already have, and seem to exploit, those freedoms provided by the few and the brave. (aka) The Unites States Soldiers. USA, USA, USA.......

Why are we in Afghanistan ? No one seems to be able to answer me.

Sorry dude but wtf? 911 ring a bell?

Now back to the topic...

Welcome home bro!!! I have a niece that was in Afganistan USAF that was RPG'd near Kabul. She is retired now after a good 20. I myself am a Vietnam Vet B Troop 7/17th Air Cav (Air Combat Regiment) 101st Abn. Div. Camp Halloway Plieku RVN. :) Good luck with the Fj. They are expensive to keep up but Sooooooooooooooo Much fun!!!

The responses so far are not logical. 9/11 was done by 18 Saudi Arabins and two Jordanians which We,,,USA,,taught to fly.. And, even with expired Visas' we still did nothing, soooo, again,,WHY ARE WE IN AFGHANISTAN? Are we waiting for the time to go to Saudi Arabia?? Also, you can explain any country and its' methods of governing and that does not answer this question?? Look at Uganda, Somalia, etcc. and we are not there. The comradarie by soldiers is great but it still does not answer the question. Why were we in Vietnam?? Civilians control our military, I hope everyone understands that, so when I ask a question I would like an answer that makes some sense. One difference in these times is that there is no draft, so people are not taken from their direction and sent to a civilian situation. That is why there is very little resistance to it like Vietnam. If someone volunteers , then they know the possibilities.
I still am searching for the true reason. I just have a feeling it is not for hearts and minds.?

Nice build, soldier! Thanks for updating it. I think the rustoleum paint looks surprisingly nice. It is an offroader afterall, and paint is not the top priority.

I don't know why fhawk5 wants to detrail your thread with his political agenda, but ignore him and keep the posts coming.

Sorry for the derail on the thread. For some reason I got confused with FJ40 stuff and Afghanistan?? I to do not see the reason it was brought up either??
