Hi, guys. Just bought used drawers in very strange configuration. Price is very nice and it came with trims. What do you think about to use 2 x rolling floor instead of normal drawer ? This add separation, but also add some weight and steal some space. (sliding part of lower drawer couldn't be used)

Definitely a fan of 2x rolling floor.

Never seen the double drawers on one side like that, but Zif I had that, I’d likely use foam inserts, cut to fit specific items/tools since those have got to be really shallow drawers. Kinda like it. Great way to do customization/padding for equipment...

If I was to do mine over knowning what I know now .. I would have put a rolling Floor with a drawer beside it.

2 reasons;
1. it's easier to get in and out of the cooler/fridge on rolling floor
2. when not using that space for a fridge and putting groceries or anything else in the back cargo area, with the roller floor its enclosed by the tail gate and not the rear window. having the rear window as a barricade is not as good as a tail gate.

plus the drawer is huge I myself could easily get by with 1 drawer.

Thanks for ffedback, i think i screw both small drawers together with using metal strips. It will be near "bolt-on" solution. In case if i decide to remove one it could be easily done.

This seems to be the biggest and most recent thread (of MANY) on the ARB drawers, so I'll add this here. I am in the process of pulling my drawers back out for a significant wiring upgrade, and I discovered something cool. Maybe this was already known by most of you, but I wasn't aware.

One of the minor drawbacks of having the sliding top on the drawers is that it seems like it compromises the security of locking the drawers, if someone gains access to the back of the truck. Well, I guess ARB actually thought of that. Did you know there is a way to lock the sliding top in the closed position? I didn't.

Close the drawer, then slide the top open, look underneath, you will see this odd toggle looking thing.

Now slide the top back closed, open the drawer, reach in and rotate that toggle so it is pointing towards the rear of the truck. Now the sliding top can't be moved. Close the drawer, lock it with the key, done, all secure. Well... as secure as a plastic piece can be.

Maybe this is in the instructions somewhere. But that document made my head hurt, I read as little as possible.

Back to more disassembly.

That’s not new...but I’d wager there are probably others who didn’t know. :) Problem is...with a long screwdriver, you could flip that lever via the crack above the drawers. But...it does help keep honest people honest...and quick grab crooks from spending time fiddling.

Also...did you know that the ARB drawer keys are generic? So...your key will open my drawers and mine will open yours? They do. :)

Any ARB drawers can be defeated by simply unscrewing the floors. With a drill, I can zip those screws out in less than a minute.

To me, the locks are functional for keeping kids out...and for opportunistic thieves. But beyond that, my main strategy is dark window tints...since thieves usually go after things they can SEE through the glass. No one can see through mine from the outside.

Oh yeah, no doubt the "security" with the weak key locks and plastic toggle is minimal, only keeps the prying eyes and casual smash-and-grab crook away.

Just got a 50qt arb fridge. What tie down kit do you guys use for the sliding drawer top and where did you mount the ARB fridge wiring kit? Thanks!

The ARB fridge tie down kit and wire harness solve all that. We generally moving the fridge plug in the side panel adjacent to the fridge.

There are bolts in the top of your sliding floor. If you back those bolts out, and put something like these under them, it works really well. You can kind of see what that looks like below.

As far as the power, I surface mounted a Blue Sea panel to the side wing of the drawer.

Trying to decide on a simple anchor for the tie down. Are you guys drilling the top of the roller drawer or using existing screw and holes?

I drilled through the top roller plywood, and used lock-nuts on the under side. But I used these to secure rails...not just a single point. If you are relying on one bolt or screw, I’s put a wider washer to protect the plywood from pull-tgrough...

These work great in series though...

Would definitely avoid a screw-only method, as tension would eventually strain & defeat the plywood IMO...

I use this Yeti on for my 63qt ARB.

I used it in my Jeep also .. works good and easy to undue to tighten down.

I drilled some holds through and then used some 3/4" washers for backing plates.

I have that ARB one but didn't use it as with the Yeti the tie down plates sit near flush in the carpet nice and flat, and not getting caught on suit cases etc.

Question for those with the 200FK side kit. . .what is the width of the top panel? I can't seem to find dimensional information for the kit, and I'd like to know how wide a "platform" the top panel will provide (next to a roller-floor for example).

Side fit kit varies because it follows the contour of the side cargo panels.

But altogether, it goes wall to wall about 11” above the floor....edge to edge. So just measure the varying width in back and know that your drawers setup will span it.

Thanks. . .What I’m trying to figure out is if I have a fridge mounted on a roller floor, is there enough room between the roller floor and the side panel to house a Goal Zero Yeti 1000 Lithium. It's either 10.1" or 9.3" wide (the GZ site doesn't specify which dimensions are L, W, and H). It's 15.3" long. Any idea?

Is this helpful? About 7-1/4" from the plastic to the edge of the roller lid. This is the passenger side, other side will be the same.
