Hello, I've had my '11 Land Cruiser for about 8 months. In that time I've changed the oil, filter housing, filters, wipers etc. Trying to do as much myself as I can, working my way down the baseline lists I've seen. Swapping the coolant in the next couple weeks. Everything's been great until this week, I got 4lo flashing, VSC, and check engine light on. Hooked up tech stream and found codes C0210, C0215, C1201, P0125. Looks like the P0125 is maybe a coolant thermometer? I can't seem to find anything on here about changing out the coolant thermometer.

The C codes I'm confused by. speed sensors? Are there other things I can do with my tech stream to help diagnose?

Thanks from an aspiring light mechanic

None of these are correlated. When I see this, it generally suggests that your battery got run down or is weak and on its way out. The cold weather is probably exacerbating it too.

Not sure it it's related, but sometimes servicing the car has doors open and accessories on which runs down the batt. I usually put the car on a float charger for larger multi day jobs.

Keep it up, you're doing great.

I haven’t done any service in the last month and a half. And the weather has been consistently above 40, maybe mid 30s at the lowest. Should I connect it to a battery charger and see if that helps? Then reset the codes

How old is the battery and are the connections clean and tight? Using a battery charger might help, but if the battery is old/corroded, replacement is your best bet.

codes have come back. tricky charged battery, tightened posts. any other suggestions for how to tackle these codes? should I order coolant thermometer and replace? or are there other steps to pursue? also speed sensor codes...

Turns out I’m getting no hot air blowing. Could that make the coolant thermostat something to pursue

SOLVED.

I was low on coolant, added about 3/4 gallon between radiator and reservoir. Never seen coolant on floor. Valley plate leak potentially?

I’ll be observing coolant levels over the next month to see if I’m loosing more

valley plate or HG

you will see disappearing coolant - just stay on top of it

our tundra drinks coolant monthly last 100 k miles - we stay on it religiously
