Does anyone have a pix of the back side (mounting points) for this historic FJ40 bumper? Does it require any frame mods, or do you just remove the triangular plates and bumper, and bolt it up?

Does it accommodate the factory PTO winch, and/or engine crank hole (which is covered by the winch, if you have one)?

Thanks - Steve

I'll dig up some pictures but they do not require frame mods and they are not set up for a PTO, electric only. Users have modified them to fit a PTO winch but that would solely be on your end :D

Do these mount with end brackets still in place? I have a old bull bar that I bought cheap. It's currently just seating on my 73 FST at another location. Thought it required the end brackets removed. It was question if it's ARB or not. Build like a ARB and has the tabs for the angle brace back to the frame which I thought required drilling a couple to bolt those brackets?

I do have a question on the bracket above the main bar. Is that designed for a fair head to bolt on? I one of those PTO winch guys and have been lucky enough to locate a few split case two direction PTO units. One being my 79 which I would like the new bull bar for. If the bracket would support a fair head spacing a PTO winch up and deleting the stock fairhead setup only other mod might be to clearance the opening in the front frame member for the higher angle in front.

I'll have to peak at an original bumper to answer that, it's been 15 years and 1000 bumpers ago since we last installed that style :D

That upper plate is made to mount the tall mounts of an upright winch like the Warn 8274 BUT it may very well work with a fairlead as well, I've never tried. I'll take a peak at an original here and see how strong it looks.

Thanks Kurt - great info. Final question - how much does the new ARB bumper weigh (presumably same as the old)? There's zero info on the ARB website, but I did see the promo video.

Sorry, I don't have any weight info yet and we haven't had a price guide with shipping weight on one of the originals for a decade or more. Totally shooting from the hip at 110 lbs. I'll have more info as things develop and they go into production. Orders will ship/fulfill in the order they are taken fwiw.

We have already had several customers asking for them as well.

We will be selling them for 895.00 but covering all shipping cost in the US (excluding Hawaii and Alaska) Orders need to be in by the end of the month.

Thanks Mike

C’mon, show Hawaii some love!!

Just ordered mine... and I don't even have a truck that needs it. I found one NOS on ebay several years ago for my 74 but got to thinking what if I'm in a wreck- how would I ever replace it? So i ordered a spare or may be it is time to find a 45...

Thanks guys!

We do love Hawaii. It’s the darn boat ride that kills it!

Tomorrow is the last day!!!!

Thanks Mike
Any idea what that boat ride to hawaii (96712) would cost me? I do want one bad for my 40!! PM me the details.

Which roller fairlead is a direct bolt on for this bumper?
The kind that runs bolts through the tabs that protrude from the front of the bumper for use with the 8274
