Is anyone running regular gas instead of premium with their supercharger set up? Any driveability concerns?

Just. Don't. Do. It.

Premium fuel only for any forced air induction. Period.

Otherwise, holes in pistons result, eventually.

Yeah...don't do it. I don't have an 80 series but do own another supercharged Toyota vehicle (Tundra) and made the mistake of putting in regular once and I could definitely feel the difference. Premium is the only way to go.

Regular is ok as long you don't go into boost but who does that when there is a supercharger on top?

Next time spend your supercharger budget on a Nitrous kit!

OK - as I thought. Been running super and will continue to do so.

I bought a premium only sticker for the fuel door as an additional reminder.

Premium only sticker comes (maybe no longer?) with the S/C kit when bought new.

cheers,
george.

I run a boost/vacuum gauge on my A pillar. Not that hard to stay out of boost when running regular. I have found several gas stations out in BFE that do NOT have premium. I also carry several bottle of Octane Booster if I get stuck wanting/needing the octane, such as towing.

Ran it on 91 octane for years with no issues.
Now that I reside in a state where 93 octane is available. I really don't see the need. I just mix non-ethanol 89 and 93 octane half-n-half style.
No issues. Same crappy gas mileage!

As long as you have some way to monitor boost and drive like a granny to ensure that you stay out of it. I think you'd be OK running 87 in a pinch. Heck, I've done it a couple of times.
