For the record, I'm not proud of how things look under my hood. I was just comparing mine to Brad's since his is of the same year.

Brad - I really like your 40 and the history in the family. I was wishing I had my top off. From your comments, it seems like your 40 is mechanically sound and just needs some TLC. Go ahead and join so you can get a discount at from our club sponsor, Scott Clark Toyota, on any parts you end up ordering from there. Search for some patch panels for the doors and rear sill and check the tech section to see if people have posted up about their experiences with the providers. Jim recommended staying away from replacement fenders. If you go with his advice, you'll want to find someone who can work with what you have as well as use the patch panels. I's suggest finding and using a TLCA and/or MUD supporting vendor for the panels and door sill. Hope to see you around.
