That's not good. I'll look underneath mine and see how it's (Fluid Film) holding up....and I'll look underneath my brother's Tundra to see how the WoolWax is holding up.
can you let me know i have some more fluid film left but i do not see the point off it if it washes off

I've been using Fluid Film for the last 6 or 7 years, and as previously stated in this thread, it does not wash off. You would need a power washer and some detergent.

How long does this stuff need to “set” before it’s ready to hit the road?

More thoughts in a bit

Spray and go is correct

I was planning to apply another layer of woolwax to my trucks this weekend but found they all still had a very healthy layer and I thought I would just be wasting time and material

I received my order from Kellsport and sprayed on ~3 quarts of black Woolwax this weekend. We're expecting 10 inches of snow by morning, so the timing was good. I'm looking forward to seeing how it holds up. For now, it just feels good to have the chassis black instead of rust. I'm really impressed with the way they packaged the quarts with the pro gun and hoses. I can imagine it would have been much messier if I had do dump a gallon into a paint sprayer.

looks awesome!
does it come out black or just enhance the black on the components?

Would love to see some front axle pics after about 2 weeks of winter driving.

What did you guys use to clean the quart bottles and spray guns? I tried hot water and then mineral spirits and neither did exceptionally well.

Allegedly you don’t need to clean them. The stuff is formulated to not clog so just put it away until next year. I touched up a spot or two I missed about a week or two after I originally sprayed it and had no issues.

Dish soap works. I used it to clean off the spatula and the pan I used to heat it up. You don't really need to clean the guns though, it doesn't really dry.

Yeah I wish I would have circled back and looked at the online FAQ. The paperwork that comes with the kits does not have this suggestion. Oh well.

mineral spirits followed by soap and water worked just fine for me :meh:

Just got the 5 gallon bucket in black with the nozzle for all my junk. I'm glad I saw this thread, I've been using FF in the aerosol and lose a bunch of it when it runs down the side of the can. And thanks vendor, for the discount! Perhaps I missed it in the threads, but if anyone has any suggestions on a good way to transfer it from the 5 gallon pail, it would be much appreciated!

Oh boy, 5 gallons, that's a lot of goo! As others have stated, warm it up first, and I'd look for a pump of some sort to pump it into a suitable container.
