Hwyyyyy...! Just checked.. Yup! IPF LEDs DO work as DRLs! No flicker either!

Wow, that's amazing. That's literally the first LED replacement bulb I've ever head that can handle voltage drop and not flicker. A testament to IPF's engineering.

I'm gonna give the high beams a go. I run a different name brand low beams and they are great so no need to replace them. I'll just add these as my current high beams are WEAK SAUCE. Good find guys - thanks

Nice @Willy beamin ...

-Just a thought...but one reason you MIGHT still want to consider the lows too...is that for some reason, the switch to the IPFs somehow automatically keeps the lows ON with high beams!! So you not only get stronger highs, but you get four lights instead of 2! I've always been annoyed that we lose lows with highs unless wiring/resistors are tweaked....but IPF lows solved this.

-Now if I could just get my LED fogs to also stay on, I'd have one sweet swath of light!

That's an interesting point @Markuson I'll try the mix combo first and see if I can't get lucky with what you're describing above.
thanks for the info

I guess it's possible that the lower draw of the high beams (vs. stock draw) MIGHT keep them both on? Will be interesting to hear!

We shall see

@BabaBear , I couldn't get the code to work.

Was that part of a promotion or one time use code?

What I noticed about the discount trigger is you have to spend over $300 - the lights are $185 a pair

I believe shutting off the low beams and the fogs when the high beams are on is a DOT requirement. I know it's required with the fogs, but I have also read the low beams need to be turned off too. Or it might be the manufacturers are doing that to protect the alternator/battery from all the draw. Which is a moot point with LED bulbs.

Pretty sure its legal to have high+low. Could be wrong, but it seems to be a wattage thing...so probably up to Toyota what triggers shutoff.

Here in Kalifornistan, I see highs+lows on lots of vehicles...
Would be a rare exception where Kali DIDN'T outlaw something just because they could... Sigh...

Can one person who bought the IPF for high beam show the pattern on a wall?

I've seen the good cutoff the IPFs do on the low beam but I'm curious to see the high beams in action. I'm considering buying the IPFs. But I have another brand LED installed and I'm trying to gauge the difference in cutoff and hot spots.

I'm sorry. It's $30 off of $300. I bought hi and low beams for my Tundra and it was enough. I would like to get fog lights too, but the IPF 9145/h10 fog lights are not available stateside.

Did anyone actually get a tracking number from Morris 4x4? I ordered the 301 HLB to use in my fogs. It says in their site my order is "shipped-complete" but they didn't provide tracking info.

It's been a couple of days now. Still no tracking number, and not a single reply to my emails. Should I be worried?

I wouldn't worry.
They were in the hurricane zone... They drop ship items from ARB sometimes...
I was starting to wonder about my second set from them (brights), but they arrived last week...despite the hurricane around their offices.
Both of my separate shipments from them arrived in a reasonable time...-the second shipment arriving with no tracking number except for the one I get from UPS automatically now that I've registered with them. The last unit was shipped directly from ARB, rather than Morris 4x4 in Florida.

I just received my order yesterday. It took six days and came direct from ARB. I didnt get one response from them via email or phone call. After peppering them with calls/vms and emails, they sent me a tracking number the day before it arrived. I installed the highs and lows last night. Not bad.

That's pretty faint praise for almost $400 worth of lights :hmm: Anything in particular that didn't live up to your expectations?

Ditto at Morris 4 x 4. Not sure if it's the storm season or that's just normal. They too don't respond to e-mail and they don't communicate order status. And when I've called hold times are 20+ minutes. Based on the comments on their facebook page - communication and order fulfillment complaints have been a trend this year. To me it seems like they act like distributors rather than retailers- meaning they focus more on sourcing and moving product rather than dealing with people.

I ordered some IPFs to compare with the more inexpensive LEDs. I have a suspicion that the IPFs were superior when they came out but now the market has caught up. But like PIAA, the IPF brand carries weight and so they don't lower price. We'll see. I will post comparison pics when I get them. IF I get them... It's been a couple weeks....

Also Morris automatically places a hold on a first time order. They will try to call you to confirm identity and payment details. It took them about 3 days after I ordered to get that call. If they don't find you- I was told they sit on the order.
