Installed main headlights yesterday. These things definitely live up to expectations. Good cut-off point...and have not yet been flashed by on-coming cars, though my test run was pretty limited. We'll see about flashing brights, but performance wise? Wow. Massive improvement in my 2008...and I had just recently replaced my headlight bulbs with fairly expensive units before Breck. The IPF's definitely leave them in the dust.
Was it easy to install? Unscrew dust caps, remove OEM halogens, snap in LEDs, put LEDs back in socket, and replace dust caps?
How was install on driver's side? Did the battery get in the way?
I have had the IPF Low beams for over a year now and they are excellent. If memory serves me correctly, I installed both without pulling out the battery (think this was before I had my dual batteries in). I did not do the high beams as IPF couldn't tell me if they work with the DRL or not. Anyone with High Beams able to weigh in on DRL compatibility? I will add those if they function as DRL and High beam (2008 LC).
I just ordered a pair of low beams Monday from Kurt, can't wait. But now I'm worried about snow/ice accumulation. LED bulbs often don't generate enough heat on the lens to melt snow, wondering if anybody has tried them in this situation yet.
I ordered my set of IPF LED low beams today from morris4x4, they have a $10 off coupon for $175. Since I almost never use my high beams I didn't bother ordering those. I hope I don't regret.

That's where anti-freeze wiper fluid helps by using your headlight washers...
I'm in Alaska, no issue with snow/ice building up on them. I have more issues with snow stacking up on my ARB bumper inside the loop.I just ordered a pair of low beams Monday from Kurt, can't wait. DRL work with high beams?Ya, for me...battery removal was because I have dual batteries, and also a much larger main battery. Also...I have big hands...AND...dual battery wires are tucked in front near the lights. All that added up to removal for regular beams. No biggie...just noting it.
The high beams were no problem.
I can't imagine that regular bulbs melt snow either. -Not clear out on the surface of the headlight housing. They would have to be SUPER hot to do that...

No. Halogens become DRLs because the voltage is reduced to dim them. When you do that to LEDs, they just flicker.DRL work with high beams?
