Any suggestions on the factory Horn upgrades?

Wolo "Bully" horn, 2 homey chromey air horns 11" and 13" long I believe. 133 Db and audible for a mile! I really despise stupidity on the road and PS get the #$@% out of my way!!

Over here, the horn is a part of daily driving. So the loudest and the baddest are always the best.

For the higher end of the market, Bosch Supertones (especially the one with the grill is very popular). That's what we have on our Ford Expedition:

Hella Supertones are popular too. This is what I had in the '77 Mercedes 300D:

These 'snail type' horns are popular with most of the market. Good combination of low cost and bad a$$ sound:

STEBEL

FIAMM

Here is what I currently use. STEBEL NAUTILUS. Loud though a bit high pitched but definitely IRRITATING! Just what I need for those damn jeepneys and buses that stop in the middle of the road to load/unload.

I have FIAMMs. Odd, mine look like those STEBEL units, not the FIAMM listed in the pics. IMHO, the FIAMM horns are a good inexpensive option...and a definite improvement over OEM.

Just put the Fiamms in my 80.

Dual horns with compressor, Harbor Freight for $19.

Sound great.

Air horns? Sounds like it...
How do you have them pointed? I wanted to go with airhorns, but have heard people having problems with getting water in them and killing them.

Maybe I'll put them in the wife's 80...that one won't see much water for a long time...

Here ya go, point them down and I do not see where you would have a problem. At less than $20 per pair, it is worth a shot.

At $20, it's not that big a deal -- I'd agree.

I think some had them mounted horizontally, so when water entered, it flowed back. I don't know if mounting them the way you did will help -- if it's air tight towards the back of the horn, you shouldn't have any issues.

Shouldn't...but then again...it's just 20 bucks...

Nice 80. ?!?

As for the Fiamme/Wolo double or triple air horns: installation is plug-n-play (remove grill for easier access); I have the duel high/low red Wolo horns. I'm switching them out for duel low tone horns as the pitch is too high.

Probably one of the best mods for the money.

The set-up above on the Audi minivan just looks evil and can only attract police.

Awesome Previa-Is it the rare 4wd version? I don't know if rolliges is joking but that ain't no Audi.

Funny-I was reading a Previa forum a couple of years ago, and those guys are as fanitical about the Previas as we are about Cruisers. They tend to last and last just like a Cruiser.

It's not AWD, but it is SuperCharged ;) (2TZFZE)

Yeah, Previa owners are definitely fanatics :grinpimp:

And yes, these things will run forever

I've got 261K+ miles on mine and I drive it back and forth from NYC to Orlando on a bi-weekly basis:cool:

And no, it's definitely NOT an Audi lol

I just got sick of the Toyota Space Cowboy emblem

Besides, in NYC, if you get a parking ticket and they write down the wrong vehicle make, it gets thrown out ;)
