shifter; yeah, I modified the arm on mine that comes out of the 91. It already had 4 gears forward, so it was right. I used a cable on my car and made a bracket that bolts to the trans tunnel to hold the cable. The Other end of the cable bracket actually goes through two pan bolts.

Got the shifter hooked up. Not really happy with the way it turned out. I had a hard time getting the throw of the arm sync'd with the shifter indicator. I bought the shifter assembly from a mud'r for $50 shipped. I used the lokar column shifter kit for the linkage.

Here are some updates.

Got the FJ60 tcase linkage hooked up. I took a shift handle from a 4sp tranny and fab'd it. Pic 1 is Hi range and pic 2 is Low.

Ok, now the fuel system. After a lot of reading, I decided to run my own because of the way the stock ECM is involved. So I went down to a local speed shop, Austin Performance, and they helped me figure it out. The pump is a Walbro GSL392 and the filter is a corvette filter. What is cool about the filter it is internally regulated, so I do not need to buy a regulator. Note, the line between the pump and the filter is fuel injection line, but is there until my other fittings come in. Then I'm going to replace it with the blue line.

Coming along nicely, you must be pumped to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

If you do any off roading at all, be sure to make up a guard for that nice fuel pump setup...sticks and stone seem to home in on things like that.

Nice progress looks great! Can you post up Pn#s of the elbows you used on the throttle body to maf?

Yes, I'm dreaming of one day starting this thing. I agree. I was looking at the pic and imagining the u-joints letting loose too.

Updated fuel pics. The tank is 11 1/2" deep. The fuel pump replacement tube needed to be at least 1/4 from the bottom. But that would put it right above the holders for the fuel pump. So I decided to go with a bend in the tube so it would not get hung up on them. Also, note I pulled one of the connector pins out that goes to the fuel pump. It probably would not spark, but I thought I would play it safe.

I then hooked up a battery and checked for leaks. I just need to hook it up to the fuel pump relay that is on my new engine harness.

I know this is advise after ya done done it, however after dealing with external pumps issues in hot weather way too much, I would have surely put it inside the tank.....stays much cooler lasts longer and is quiet.

sorry for the dumb question but I see three things in the first pic: pump, filter and what's the third thing?

So the fuel travels from the tank to a standard filter, then pump, then a EFI Corvette filter. I wanted to use a filter before the pump to keep junk out of the pump. Kinda like what a bag filter does.

as far as stuff on the frame I have a similar setup on my FJ60...I run a walbro fuel pump, a GM SUV/Pickup OEM fuel filter between the pump and engine, and an inline filter between the tank and pump. I'm still running the same pump that I intially installed withen I did my engine swap. That new corvette fuel filter is "cool"...

YOu can hear the waldbro pump at idle but its not that bad, but I dont' use my truck as a DD.

I agree that an in-tank pump would be a good choice if workable.

I'll have to order that pump nexed I'm about to replace my 3rd MSD pump

LOOKS GREAT Jeff keep it goin

Patience grasshopper. I'm waiting on the harness to get back from PSI. Then it's time to get busy!!!
