Soo.. i did sand the front light surrounds and under the black paint was chrome coat.. cool.:p

Im not sure though does the front look good with or without those chromed surrounds..

Will paint the grill, bumper, and the light stand with matt black later when i have more time.
Opinions, leave the chrome "stripes" or paint the whole thing?

However, got the new shoes! Boggers will be for sale.

I vote for chrome

love the colour of your rig mate :D
Thanks, i like it too, sadly the paint job is done poorly. Might paint the roof white :p

I vote for chrome
I`m slowly turning in the same opinion..

Black matt is beautyful and no bling bling on a cruiserView attachment 895203
Well, you don`t have those chrome stripes on window seals (whatever they are called) as i do.

dis guy dun speek da troof ^^
Are you how :confused::confused: ?? :hillbilly::flipoff2:

So.. my power windows works except the drivers window. The rest of windows works from their own switches, but not from the master switch.
When pressing the drivers window switch, up or down, you can hear "clicking" from the motor.
Any ideas/suggestions what to look for next, i sprayed some contact spray whatever it was in the couplings.

E: No no, its not the motor what is clicking, its the red plastic box down there inside the door.

E2: Does this white panel open? Its clued kind of tight with silicone, from the back and the front. I also tried to reset the circuit breakers, it didn't click, nor help at all.

E3: My neighbor, who's an engineer, came to take a look in this project and told me the engine may be stuck, or shot. So, i´ll take it out tomorrow. Is it how hard task? Do i need to take the window off, how? Also, the passenger and rear windows still does not work from the master switch.

You can test the switches using a multimeter using the bell or resistance setting, you should be able to do a quick search here and find a heap of window fix/upgrade threads that have the wiring diagram.

Also the white box does open just pry it open carefully using a small screwdriver on the side tabs.
The master switch panel is something that fails a lot but be sure it's not the override switch on that panel that's not faulty.

i would swap one of the motors from the rear into the front if they are the same
I have to take a look on rear motor if its the same, or try to find used one to replace it, if its not working.

Ok, i´ll try to open the box and check the switches. I don't think the override switch can cause that? Since the rest of windows works just fine from their own switches, but not from the master switch. Anyway, thank you.

Oh well, i really have had no time for cruiser lately, been so busy, unfortunately.

But, i have made sure it's the window relay what is shot, at least now after some clean-up... :hillbilly: but my neighbor knows a guy who is kinda pro with circuit boards and stuff so he will look into it and probably he can fix it so i don't have to offer a "new" one, hopefully.

However i still have some things to do after rear/front bumpers/grill paint-up. Also spring shackles makes some squeaky noise (or i assume it comes from them) so i may have to grease them, what kind of lubricant have you guys used? Spray grease or what? I´ll post pics when i have time to take and post them, there is some things i'm not sure about..

And, finally sold the Boggers. Bye bye. :flipoff2:

Hey Hojo

Hope you get that master switch sorted, I had a few switches stop working, I pulled them apart and then thru them in the bin, too hard, but I had some free spares.

They sell new master switches here in Aus for $210 also spectre off-road sell them as well

Promised pics to follow, first, rear shackle angle, how can there be that big difference?

Second, rear left leafs are not in the middle, what can cause that?
023.jpg

And third but not least, is this a problem, front shackles are some millimeters too short, does not cover bushes fully. Also, is there any idea to make those DIY shackles greasable? One suggestion would be buying whole new greasable OME shackles but, costs way too much.

Hey Hojo

With the first pic, it's probably to do with weight of your vehicle and possibly one spring is starting to sag and shackle is compensating for it.

The rear shackles are on the wrong way around, the nut should be on the inside, not sure how much difference that would make.

Also those shackles look like they have been cut, that's why they don't cover the bushes.

Finally as for making them greasable you would have to drill a hole in the shafts and a hole down through the shaft, a lot easier to buy new ones I think

Hey Spud, thanks for your reply.

HJ was empty and on flat surface when i took the pics, and springs are not that old, just 3-4 years.

Yea, shackles are cut bit too short, is it an issue? Bet those bushes does not like it, at all?

I have to think about making them greasable or buy new ones, but new will cost around 400€uro so.. :hmm::censor:

Been a while i have done anything to Cruiser.

Today, finally, weather was good enough and i had time to make some progress.
I grind the front bumper with using angle grinder, drill with a wire wheel and a sand paper. That took me approx. 3 hours.. my god that black paint was PIA! It was like sanding a rubber.. or something stiff material, the paint clog the sand wheel and made the grinding super slow. Wire wheel didn't help that much either, drill didn't have enough RPM's.
However its done now. Since pics are always nice...

Before.

Newspaper in good use.

And finally, shiny bumper. Sad but true, the bumper is welded to the frame so i could not take it off and sand from the back with machine, had to use sandpaper.
024.jpg

Then i vacuumed the most dust and washed the rest with water. While waiting for it to dry i went preparing the grill for paint.
025.jpg

And painted the grill and light surrounds, with matt black.

After that it was late evening and bumper was still little wet i decided to paint it tomorrow, and went to camp fire with few friends.
