I tell ya - I am yearning for spring.... I guess that will teach me patience!

Gotta keep my thread up to date! A few things have changed, so I thought I would post a progress update.

This summer I added a bikini top, removed a leaf from the rear springs, put 1-1/2" spacers on the rear wheels, added a tire carrier, wet sanded a few panels, put on a 2F valve cover, put shims in the front axle, etc.

The hood is still not painted. I am having someone do it along with some parts from my wife's car during the next few weeks!

I have been driving it all summer - every chance I get.

I am pretty much DONE (well, I already have about 100 little projects planned....).

Got the hood back last week - bolted it up last night and snapped some pictures early today!

New shoes!

I put on a set of 35-12.50x15 BFG KM2s! Also have gotten the springs broken in a little and generally worked out a bunch of little details. It hs been my daily driver for a month or so now.

Spring Bling!!

Spring bling - 15x8 3.25 backset Eagle Alloy 186's from Summit. They actually clear my vented rotors/mini V6 calipers without spacers! Now I can get rid of the 1.5" spacers in the rear too. Old wheels were 4" backset.

Those will look great with the BFGs. I has a set of those on my Tacoma, great wheel.

So far so good - I have not really had them off-road though. They are quieter than my old BFG MTs. They seem like they may be wearing faster though - I used to get 50K miles out of the old style.
