Ah, thats what I'm missing. Patience. After an hour or two the hammer and torch come out.

Man, that is beautiful. One day, some day, I need to own a 40 . . .

That probably makes me certifiable.

Thats actually on the list of qualifacations. Followed by buckets of cash, tons of free time, and a large hammer(the last one is actually for the wife when you put in your 3rd order for parts in a month.):)

Cruiser Porn!

Painted it early in the morning today. Turned out pretty good! It needs to be color sanded yet, but I have seen much worse ;-)

I am just happy that the body work turned out good and things are good and straight!

Looks Great...The body looks nice and straight, and I like the blue:cheers:

Yeah, every time I take a picture it comes out a different color. It is Sky (smurf) blue - #854. I copied off of you!!

It is most like the bottom pic.

The paint is made by PPG, but it is a lower priced "Shop-Line" Urethane. It is really nice to spray compared to the laquer and enamel paints I have sprayed in the past.

Yeah, the garage is pretty blue. I covered everything important as best I could.

I have paint left. Are you coming up with yours so we can make it all one color and get Laura off of your back? !!

Ha!

Blue, must have blue....... especially 854. But my trail repair paint job is just a crappy preval sprayer. Nothing like that beautiful job.

Would you stop this? You're really gonna make me look for a 40! :grinpimp:

sweet, sweet, sweet.

too many blue cruisers around :D

makes me want to get started on my 77 653 Olive Brown resto..... we need one of these around:D

HA!

I debated over the color for YEARS! I had originally decided to go with olive brown, pretty much based on the picture you posted there.

Then I saw THIS CRUISER (nevermind who was selling it.....)

I made some more progress last night. I got the wiring harness in the clutch/brake/gas pedals, and the fender flares mounted.

AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Mushroooooooo!!!!! My eyes are burning! My eyes are burning!

man.... that's mean... you need to warn us before posting links like that! :D

Yea, I've always liked the Olive Brown color, then a guy runs up to me in the Giant parking lot and yells "Nice Cruiser!"
I'm in my 40 and am trying to figure out how this guy knows it's not a jeep?

Turns out he's got one for sale.... it's rusted and *red*... but original color was Olive Brown! THe dash is in immaculate shape (top probably never off) and really shows what the color is supposed to look like.

When I get back home I'll try to snap a couple pics so everyone can see. JT's seen it! :D

BTW: the dude turned out to be my Jr High Gym teacher! And what's more.... My friends mother used to date him for quite a while and his sister remembers riding around in it

.....small world.

Wow, what are the chances that could fall into your lap? And what voodoo should I be practicing to get the same results?

here are the pics of the dash I promised :D
